I've worn this many times since I bought my first full bottle (my 7 yr old daughter seems to like it), but I can't quite seem to put my finger on whether or not I love this fragrance. Sometimes I thoroughly enjoy smelling it on my wrist, other times I want to wash it off and put something else on. At least one time, I got a slight headache from it. Hugo Extreme is versatile season wise. It can work from spring all the way to fall and can also work in Arizona winters. It is a day scent for the most part. It also performs for about 7 hours with about an hour and a half to two of strong projection. Very weak performance. The reformulation of the EDT is terrible (vs the former "Hugo"). It was a great scent, what a shame. This is a spring/summer fragrance for daytime and casual wear but it's versatile enough to be suited for work as well, depending on what you do. Performance on my skin is very good, 8+ hours easily with good projection within the first 2-3 hours. Opening is great and smells amazingly fresh; smells great from the bottle as well. The dry down, for me, is quite strange.

This version seems to be an update of the classic Hugo fragrance. When I smelled it I immediately felt the DNA of the original fragrance, although it seems to me that it has been polished a bit, as it feels less harsh than the original. Its aroma is very pleasant, for those who know the original it could be said that its aroma is almost the same, it is based on lavender, mint, wood and pine, although in this Hugo Man the apple note is less prominent. Hugo Extreme is very similar to the classic Hugo Man from 1995,and looks like a pretty nice upgrade as far as performance go.It's very fresh,green,masculine,woody andHowever a couple of differences to me....initially its projection is stronger, especially the fir. However on me, it doesn't last nearly as long as the original - after only a couple hours it's already a skin scent. Hugo Extreme opens with a blast of green apple. As the apple dies down, you get a lot of the fir note in the base along with some lavender and sage. The base is the fir and the cedar note. I honestly do not notice the geranium.

I like it. Really nice, "oldschool" aftershave type of scent in my opinion. Probably fits for most men. I like the fragrance but the only bad thing about this one is that it leaves bad yellow stains on white shirts which never get cleaned after many washes :( It then gradually transform with hints of florals ramping up the barbershop effect, before drying down to an accord of lavender, apple and fir on top of hints of cedar. This is a good scent for spring and more so summer, and for those who want to carry something fresh and different to the office or any other place where you want to arrive fresh and clean. Bright scent. Lasts you six hours, not bad.
