About this deal

Personally, I like his awkwardness and how he really tries to better himself to understand others – that’s why I find it sad, that he gets kind of tossed aside as the story goes on. Thankfully he gets a Bonus chapter in Volume 12. GOSHHH! That was one hell of a ride! You know, in the first few chapters (maybe 1-3 chaps), it was hella cringe and the second-hand embarrassment was killing me. You’ll notice the ml is a yandere. But when he starts falling for the fl (chap 3 I think?), he learned how to express his feelings more and cared for her genuinely. Although everyone sees him like this, Ohmi has a secret: In reality, he is „rude“ (for Japanese standards I guess), rough in his way of speech, and has an arrogant attitude. He is also not honest with his feelings at all. In the first few panels Shoujo-magic happens and Eriko „walks in“ (the door gives in while she’s eavesdropping and she falls into the room) on a conversation between Ohmi and the teacher (who is also his uncle), hence she discovers his true self. At Anime NYC 2017, Kodansha USA announced they licensed the series digitally. During a live stream on March 25, 2021, they announced a print release for the series. What to say about the drawings, except that they were beautiful? I must say that the drawing style is what catch my attention before I chose to read a manga, and this one totally lived up to my expectations! So I would definitely recommand this shojo to every shojo lover out there. It is funny, it will make your heart beat very fast, and your cheeks will hurt so badly after having smiled when reading the entire shojo.

There are so many other things I should be doing, right now. Like focusing on my studies, or starting my thesis, yet here I am reading a manga for teens and having the time of my life. I regret nothing. My second ever shoujo manga, and was quite pleased with the amount of fluff in every chapter (like really, my heart went “doki doki” about every chapter) which was very entertaining. The art style is beautiful and easy on the eyes. As I read further and further it got so good I felt literally like on a rollercoaster. It has been pretty long since I jumped, cheered and really got excited over some manga, I probably looked like a puppy seeing his owner come home. And yeah I just really love these kind of romances where there is teasing, unsure emotions. One person is just really shy, but cheerful person to be around, the other one bit grumpy, a popular kid, with some kindness and good under the outer coat. Von den Charakteren auch nicht groß anders als jede toxische New Adult Geschichte, nur ohne die Bettgeschichten. Hodgkins, Crystalyn (March 25, 2021). "Kodansha USA Adds 6 New Manga Including Osamu Tezuka's Bomba!". Anime News Network . Retrieved May 26, 2021.Ellie is frequently called a pervert, but I just don’t see it! In the beginning, with how much the word pervert was thrown around, I almost expected a B Gata H Kei ecchi direction, but it’s firmly in the shoujo category. More than half the things she fantasizes about is totally innocent.

Besides the fun chemistry and fast pace, I also really enjoyed how reading this made me feel. If you like manga's that make you squeal out loud, this is the one for you! Eriko/Ellie ist sehr sympathisch obwohl sie sehr unsicher ist. Die Dynamik mit Ohmi find ich noch etwas komisch, denke aber das legt sich im Laufe der Geschichte! The dynamic between Ellie and Omi-kun was so fun to read. Very much and grumpy guy a sunshine girl trope :) However as far as the storyline goes…it wasn’t my favourite. The interactions between the main girl and boy had me CRINGING! To the point where it was hard for me to continue on…

I’ll just post the review up to volume 4 in this one post! I kinda plowed through them, so I don’t remember what happened in what volume. I am happy to add this to my reading manga pile. The ending has me curious for the next instalment. I definitely recommend it if you love shoujo romance with charming characters and great character development. I can tell there is so much more to come and I’m all for it. Concerning Akira, I really liked his character too! I think his personality made sense and was interesting, though it wasn't that original (I don't expect much originality in shojos, anyways). I know too little of the other characters to say anything for now, but I continued reading the next mangas and I hope to discover more about them too soon.

The characters in this manga are so outrageous, but at the same super fun and also somehow feel very REAL and authentic. I'd love to be a part of this world and be their friend, and I can't wait to see what's next in Volume 2! This is so dang cute!!!!! I really like seeing both Ellie and Ohmi learn how to open up and fall in love. I can’t wait for a kiss! It’s so cute! Mir wurde der Manga als „wenn Tina Belcher von Bobs Burger ein Shoujo Charakter wäre“ nahegelegt. Finde das beschreibt das ganze auch am besten. I absolutely ADORED the main characters. Two beautiful little weirdos, Eriko Ichimura the pervy hopeless romantic, and her crush the handsome, all-around perfect, and kind-to-all Ohmi with a super-fun little secret that Eriko stumbles upon one day. Literally, every single interaction between them was an absolute delight. Eriko is an excellent representation of a teenage girl with a huge crush on the prettiest boy in school. Her freak-outs were the best!! I definitely behaved in the exact same way as her at some point in my life (it did not go away with adulthood). I really can't wait to read more of those two crazy kids soon.It started serialization in Kodansha's Dessert magazine on July 24, 2015. The manga finished on May 23, 2020. After the ending, the series was given a side-story chapter. Saw the summary says if you're a fan of Wotakoi you have to read this and I never pushed the request button so fast. However, I wasn't sure what to feel as I started them since it didn't hit me right off the bat (though it does get better). Both Ichimura Eriko and Akira Ohmi had a secret in which only the both of them accidentally know that leads to them getting closer, and maybe to Ellie’s fantasies becoming a reality. I loved this shojo! Of course, some might say it is cringe and too predictable, and, to be honest, they wouldn't be wrong. It surely is, I couldn't even argue with that. But I've found it very cute and enjoyable to read. I really found myself in Erinko/Ellie. She made me remember the teenage girl I was, madly 'in love' with her crushes (that were changing literally every month), but who couldn't confess her feelings to at least one of them: one-sided love, when you get us... Yet, Erinko dares some bold moves, and they work! Progressively, she gets closer to Ohmi-kun, who wants to know more about her too. They become friends and discover each other, some parts untold and unknown to the people who put them on the spotlight. Eriko is so used to being invisible that she doesn't know how to act when Ohmi-kun starts paying attention to her (and it doesn't help that's he's fairly emotionally stunted himself, haha). She's SO WEIRD and I love it. She makes a friend in this volume and the reason the girl reaches out to her sounds EXACTLY like something I'd have done in high school.

Ichimura Eriko is an unpopular girl who loves to fantasize about things – mostly about one boy. His name is Akira Ohmi and due to his polite and kind personality, he is extremely popular at the school they both go to. With her alter ego she repeatedly tweets about him and their non-existent relationship. The first thing that caught my attention in this manga was Fujimomo's drawing style, I definitely love it. And the story, in addition to the romance, has some very funny overtones that made me laugh out loud throughout the volume. Both Eriko and Ohmi seem very interesting characters to me and I'm looking forward to seeing how they evolve, as characters and as a couple. In addition, two secondary characters have appeared that will give a lot to talk about. Thank you so much to the publishing company, Kodansha Comics and Netgalley for providing me with a copy!!! The side characters are not the strong suit of this Shoujo Manga but they are entertaining. The way Sara is introduced is pretty nice: First, the author makes you think that she is superficial and only approaches Ellie to get closer to Ohmi – that’s not the case though. BUT, I find her way of interacting with Reo (Sara’s childhood friend) a bit too much. I know, that’s how a Tsundere is – but still. Poor Reo does everything for her, he even changed his style to appear as a delinquent to protect her. Thankfully she also gets some character development and is more honest to herself later on. (C) Fujimomo / Kodansha Ltd.Loveridge, Lynzee (February 12, 2018). "Here's 32 Shōjo Manga You Need to Read". Anime News Network . Retrieved May 26, 2021. Despite his popularity, Ohmi has similar difficulties with communicating, so he and Eriko work together well, especially once they start casually dating. It would be cool if the heat and chemistry between them percolated in tune with their growing more comfortable dealing with each other. We'll see! (Am I asking too much?) At Anime NYC 2017, Kodansha USA announced they licensed the series digitally. [7] During a live stream on March 25, 2021, they announced a print release for the series. [8] Volume list [ edit ] No. as she gets to know smooth-spoken, handsome Akira Ohmi’s true bratty nature. What’s more, after a rather intimate moment at the library, Ohmi tells her, “Let’s continue… after you pass your exam.” Ellie is a plain girl who is invisible to everyone else around her. She is very imaginative and spends her day tweeting fantasies about the school'sprinceOmi-kun. Omi-kun acts like a prince but that's just a facade. He's actually a tsundere who in actuality is nothing like the prince he pretends to be. All the supporting characters are all likeabe and have a quirky side to them.
