Metallica's Hetfield And Ulrich Discuss Importance Of 'Master Of Puppets' ". Blabbermouth.net. August 31, 2006 . Retrieved July 31, 2013.

This is an amazing set, no doubt about it. MOP is Metallica’s high watermark. There’s so much stuff to enjoy here….. but then, that’s the same with the other sets. Nothing, absolutely nothing, justifies the high prices being charged here for a copy ofThis pressing has the explosion of the "1st Elektra US" pressings and also amazing power. Also you can feel the power of the drums here. In the "Japanese" and "MFN" original pressings you do not feel any power from the drums but in this pressing you get that. Also the music is very sharp but is thin and it lags on bass. To be honest, i prefer the album like that. I want "Master of Puppets" sharp with tight sound. No noisy sound or an extra bass like the "Vertigo" 89 EU pressing. Oficjalna lista sprzedaży:: OLiS - Official Retail Sales Chart". OLiS. Polish Society of the Phonographic Industry. Elektra Specialty Press. Very similar to Allied pressing but has some few noises in the Welcome Home and Damage inc but nothing serious Ray, Michael (2013). Disco, Punk, New Wave, Heavy Metal, and More: Music in the 1970s and 1980s. Encyclopædia Britannica, Inc. p.53. I originally thought that y’all were on something strong when it came to raving about this pressing, as generally Columbia House pressings are known to be really inferior to their retail versions. Boy was I wrong… Offiziellecharts.de – Metallica – Master of Puppets" (in German). GfK Entertainment Charts. Retrieved July 3, 2021. The syncopated riffing of "Leper Messiah" challenges the hypocrisy of the televangelism that emerged in the 1980s. The song describes how people are willingly turned into blind religious followers who mindlessly do whatever they are told. [31] The 136 beats per minute mid-tempo riffing of the verses culminates in a descending chromatic riff in the chorus; it increases to a galloping 184 beats per minute for the middle section that climaxes in a distorted scream of "Lie!". [26] The title derives from the lyrics to the David Bowie song " Ziggy Stardust". [8]Vertigo Europe 89 Press. This pressing it sound "ok" but nothing serious. Has big low end and combinied with the "DMM" process the sound is very muddy and mess the clarity of the music. Also the pressing it is not so loud and when you up the volume you listen only the low end the cover all the instruments and you thing the upper end and the mids has deleted. But overall it's "ok" (I guess?) pressing for casual listenings. Childers, Chad (December 5, 2012). "Metallica Unveil 'Quebec Magnetic' Footage of 'Master of Puppets' Performance". Loudwire . Retrieved July 31, 2013. All in all, this is one of the best versions of the album that hasen't "DM" mastering. The album is much more warmer with a lot of bass and explosion. Here you can enjoy the album pretty good. But be careful to get one good copy with great condition because my first one was in "VG" and it sounded terrible. And I do not forget to say that this vinyl has the most insane and realistic solos I have listened in any version out there. a b c d e f g Pillsbury, Glenn T. (2006). Damage Incorporated: Metallica and the Production of Musical Identity. Taylor & Francis. pp.34, 53–54, 61–63, 72–73. ISBN 978-0-415-97374-8. As are the discs dedicated to the writing and demoing of the final album. You can literally hear the songs being pieced together in the band’s writing room. Early demos are splashy and given to falling apart – you can tell how they’re faring by Ulrich’s exclamations as the various songs shudder to a halt. At one point it sounds like he shouts, “That was awful!” and he’s not wrong. That said, by the time you get to the band’s taut run-through of The Thing That Should Not Be and Fang’s The Money Will Roll Right In, you can almost feel the magic beginning to fill the room.

In the beginning i did't like that much this "Rhino" version but after a few more listenings i changed my mind a little bit. Don't get me wrong. I still believe this is not the best version of the album but i must to admit that is a High Quality release and it deserves your attention. CBS/SONY Japan Press. The sound is very clean and bright. But you miss the explosion and the power of one "DM Mastering" pressing or the Columbia house edition. Also this version lags from bass and punchy sound. Still great material to have. You can enjoy the album without issues. a b Hayter, David (March 22, 2011). "Classic Album of the month: Metallica – Master of puppets". Guitar Planet . Retrieved July 31, 2013. Another thing i want to say. Personal, i'm not big fan for "DM" mastering. The albums sound very cold, and they lags in bass and mass. But "Master of Puppets" was an expception for me. This album was mixed very poorly and "DMM" gave it the power that the album needed. Gave more explosion and power and here the album it sound incredible good. Some albums needs "DM" mastering but some others no in my opinion. When this vinyl came out, I saw outside the writings "Louder, Faster, Heavier" and said to myself "Oh my God !!.. How will sound this version??".. But the truth is, i expected more from that series and specially on this version. In a different view this version looks like one small remix from them. With this remastered LP, the album sound different than any other version i have heard. So i will review the best copy here. This vinyl it sound pretty good and it's one of the best versions of the album i have listen to. The version has big bass and this specific album needs that and also has very big depth and atmopshere. Here you can get amazing explosion and power and it's very rare for one vinyl that was made in the ordinary method and not with "DM" Mastering. Almost all my copies that have ordinary cutting method, they sounded bad but not in "Roadrunner" case. "Roadrunner" did amazing work on the first three "Metallica" albums. "MFN" has failed very bad to made one decent original version of the album but "Roadrunner" not in my opinion. But if I must find one bad thing here that make this edition to get only the 6 place, is that the sound and especially the guitars are a bit muffled and not sharp and bright. Anyway when i get this version of the album i really impressed about the sound quality in the beginning. Was a better upgrade against my CDs. But over time i getting and other pressings and right now i'm not so impressed about this pressing. Bayer, Gerd (2009). Heavy Metal Music in Britain. Ashgate Publishing Limited. p.82.
