About this deal

A all-new standalone enemies-to-lovers, serial killers and hidden identities, where the Villain always gets the girl even if she sets his house on fire. This was the first booo u have read from this author and I couldn't have been more happy!! I literally am about to sign up for more of her work!!

Um… Wow, okay.” Grabbing her sky-high heels from the floor at the foot of the bed, I kneel down and slide them on for her, so she doesn’t have to bend.If I were a smart woman, I would look away. But I live on the edge, and he seems like a man it would be fun to annoy, and despite all the warnings I have received I just can’t help myself with him.” This is about a strong independent FMC who works in a bar and has a secret identity as a phone sex worker. One of her regulars to call, unbeknownst to her is one of the Hunter brothers, a known family of very wealthy hitmen. They hunt and kill without remorse wiping out competition of their clients in exchange for very good coin. The MMC, her regular caller, arrives at the bar where she works. He is immediately intrigued by her. Yet he doesn't know her secret identity, but she knows who he is. The first part of the book got me hooked. I loved the dynamic, connection and banter between Alaska and Zuko. And then, I don't know exactly when it went wrong for met, but TL Smith somehow lost me. That hasn't happened in the past, which really surprised me.

Zuko is the dark villain most would run scared shitless away from, while Alaska is the independent sassy spit-fire and his perfect match. There's this endless trend of authors writing about crazy psychos and the crazy female psychos who love them, but this was different. I immediately noticed that this particular "psycho" didn't have the same vibe that I've read in so many books. He was so smitten with her right off the bat, and she was so abrasive... Giving the duo a dare I say fun feel? Yes, it was dark to a point. But Zuko was so chill, shrugging his shoulders at some dramatic moments that I couldn't help but laugh. It took a bit for me to like Alaska, but I think that was the point. Author Smith leans in to her standoffish personality for the big payoff at the end. These two characters knew that no one else could probably deal with them much less be in a relationship with either one. So they just accept each other the way they are. And there's beauty in that.I feel like the storyline was so good with it all working together nicely. A steamy brooding MMC and a fiery FMC 🔥(ifykyk) I love the way that Zuko and Alaska meet. It was unconventional but so them! These two are both fire! They don’t like to be jerked around and I love how Alaska challenges him in EVERY WAY!! They test each others patience but when the other needs them they are right there lighting the match to bring down whoever crossed them!

I love the FMC so much & could relate to her on several levels, to the point she is going to inspire my next hair colour change. We met the Hunter brothers in a Villain’s Lies, although they weren’t in the story for long they made quite an impact. Zuko, the eldest Hunter brother, is the male lead in this story and he is one dark, twisted guy but I quite like him. I like his honesty and how upfront he is with everyone. Is he deadly? Too right, however, he never shies away from that and owns up to enjoying his ‘career’. I couldn't stop reading about them! I literally loved how their story went and can not wait to see how the brothers story goes

He and Alaska were the perfect match as she is just as crazy as him and I loved it. Their chemistry was electric and I loved every second of their story.

Alaska is fearless and isn’t afraid to stand up for herself. She keeps to herself, but Zuko brings out emotions in her that surprise her. Zuko is a bit of a psychopath and once he decides that he wants Alaska, nothing, not even her, will stand in his way. Every new book that’s released I can’t wait to dive into the dark & twisted world that T creates. For me it’s the characters, the angst, the sass and the edge of your seat feistiness that she brings out in every character.

She nods, and I get down on my hands and knees in front of her. She pushes up to her elbows and turns to look at the mirror as my mouth lands on her clit. She jolts a little before she relaxes. If you like breath/knife play kinks, unaliving, unhinged, obsessive, possessive. Zuko is your guy. This is a fun, fast, spicy read! I feel like her second job is kinda dropped for a bit and then randomly comes to an abrupt end, like if we did that at the earlier it would of been better? Idk maybe that’s just me. I love how they both fall, I love how they communicate. These are probably my favourite formats for books no third act break up, no crazy explosive thing before the end.
