About this deal

New teabags are too big, and the tea now tastes bitter. I'm looking for a new tea now...after always drinking PG Tips. I even took my own supply when going away. "Why fix it, if it ain't broke?" As members of the Ethical Tea Partnership, we have been and will continue to work hard to create a fairer, more sustainable tea industry for tea workers, farmers and their families, as well as the environment. Costco Online UK Limited, UK Home Office, Hartspring Lane, Watford, Hertfordshire, WD25 8JS. Registered in England and Wales No. 8055444

We only enjoy PG Tips but find that not every pot tastes good. We make it in a pot leave for the same amount of time, yet sometimes, more often than we like, our cup of tea has no flavour at all. I like Yorkshire Tea and Tetley Tea but PG always had that edge. It went downhill when they reduced the size of the tea bag a few years ago from 3.125 g per bag to 2.9 g per bag. At this point I started buying the extra Strong blend to compensate. I love PG tips looseleaf tea not the teabags teabags taste, terrible but looseleaf tea is the best in a pot steeped for four minutes. It’s worth the time and the effort for a perfect cup of tea. The aroma the taste the smell it’s all there but not in the teabags, forget the teabags, always go to looseleaf tea.I am 65 years old and was brought up on PG Tips. I use a teapot, 3 tea bags was a perfect blend. Now I am putting hand fulls of tea bags in, just to get a bit of flavour. So when these run out I will definatley be changing brand. It's why we've teamed up with the big lunch - to bring people and communities together to share fun and friendship over a cup of tea and a bite to eat. I today bought the new biodegradable PG tips pyramid bags and the bags did not make any of the explained problems here. I am not sure how hard others stir their bag in the mug, but I can tell for myself I only drink it very strong. So keep up the good and sustainable work !

The bags kept breaking so I bought some other tea bags (Lidl gold, Lidl red, assam) to try. We did a blind taste test and both described PG as tasteless and watery. Lidl Red came out best so that’s what we are buying now! PG used to be brilliant so I’ve no idea what they’ve done to their tea… When it comes to the perfect cuppa, taste is everything. That's why this delicious blend is expertly crafted using tea leaves grown on our tea gardens in Kenya. And that's not all. We pour a lot of love and care in too, to bring you a perfectly smooth, fresh and rounded taste that always hits the spot.Our Trafford Park factory uses 100% renewable energy and is carbon neutral. And naturally, this box has no plastic wrap on the outside and plant-based bags on the inside! Terrible tasting tea. It tastes awful. How it ever came to be Britain's no. 1 i will never know!! Thompson's tea and particularly their "Punjana" tea bags taste far, far better.

I’ve been a Pg tea drinker since I was a little girl and I’ve noticed over the last couple of months that the taste has changed it isn’t as strong as it used to be so I have changed my tea to Twinings Strong English Breakfast and the taste is just perfectLoading... {{SelectedStore.TimeSlot.DayOfWeekString}}, {{SelectedStore.TimeSlotReservation.Day}} {{SelectedStore.TimeSlotReservation.DisplayMonth}}
