Rangers unveil 150th anniversary kit with stunning Gallant

Special kits will also be released by Castore and here are plans for a series of commemorative events and a Rangers museum at the new Edmonton House being built beside the stadium. The Ibrox side will officially celebrate their anniversary in March 2022 - becoming the first major European club to reach 150 years. Rangers would like to warmly thank our partners 32Red, Seko, Utilita, Tomket and Bitci for being part of our anniversary season and for allowing the heritage inspired Gallant Pioneers kit to be sponsorless.Stay up to date with all the latest Rangers news from the Glasgow Live team across our social media channels. Forever proud of our origins, it was important to launch a crest that upholds the Rangers values and details which are symbolic to the club. The ribbon which features below the crest design was influenced by the decorative crests from the club's earliest documented member books which feature an ornamental scroll ribbon. The ribbon design is synonymous with Ibrox where it features in the crests displayed on the side elevation of the iconic Bill Struth Main Stand.

150th Anniversary Celebrations | Rangers Football Club

Built into the fabric of our city, the fabric of the four. This is a memento of where we were, who we are now and where we're going. A celebration of the first 150 years. In the summer of 2020, the club launched an evolution of our brand identity and unveiled an updated ‘Ready’ crest which displayed our core ‘READY’ message in a new, modern way. ‘Ready’ has always had significant meaning in the club’s history. For the anniversary, ‘Forever Ready’ will be the message that unites everything we do as a club to celebrate 150 incredible years – and fittingly, Rangers enter this milestone year as Champions of Scotland for a World Record 55th time. To finish March in style, the Weekend of Legends, presented by Unibet, will take place on March 26 and will see the return of some our most-loved legends including Paul Gascoigne, Michael Mols and Sasa Papac. We want our comments to be a lively and valuable part of our community - a place where readers can debate and engage with the most important local issues. The ability to comment on our stories is a privilege, not a right, however, and that privilege may be withdrawn if it is abused or misused. Rangers fans have responded on social media after the club officially released their Castore-made special 150th anniversary kit. The outfield kit is a classic white design as a homage to our first team photograph in 1877 whilst the goalkeeper kit is a soft shade of blue, inspired by bluebells. Everyone at Rangers understands the significance of this landmark moment, as we become the first major European club to reach this special milestone.

Introducing The Gallant Pioneers Kit | Rangers Football Club

As an extra special touch, the words “Gallant Pioneers” have been embossed into the fabric to immortalise the great Bill Struth’s quote:“No matter the days of anxiety that come our way, we shall emerge stronger because of the trials to be overcome. That has been the philosophy of the Rangers since the days of the gallant pioneers.” The club, formed in 1872 have a series of huge events lined up to mark the momentous anniversary, including the opening of a stunning new museum at Edmiston House.

Rangers will also celebrate the 50th anniversary of the European Cup Winners Cup victory during 2022. MyGers members will also be awarded 25 points for purchasing an annual standard subscription, and 40 for an annual unlimited subscription. What they did have though was ambition, passion and commitment and from these roots Rangers Football Club was born. The white design pays tribute to the club’s first team photograph in 1877, while the goalkeeper kit is blue. The club was founded by four young lads – Moses McNeil, Peter McNeil, William McBeath and Peter Campbell - who had a dream to start a football team whilst walking through West End Park (now known as Kelvingrove Park) in March 1872.
