What disappointed me most about this book is how much I didn’t really like it. I adored Monk’s other book, Boys ‘R’ Us, and it’s a shame that didn’t happen with this one. Theirs is not quite a “hearts and flowers”romantic love story, but a love story nonetheless told to us in alternating first person POVs. It is peppered with heart-stopping, savage and searingly beautiful sexual encounters described by either Twitch or Lexi. The POVs are voiced differently enough to be believably separate viewpoints. Vulnerabilities of and a growing bond between Twitch and Alexa manifest during these wildly erotic, sometimes tender moments.
