The coverage was more medium to semi-opaque, often buildable to a minor degree, so I don't know that I'd call it "major payoff," the coverage was noticeable and allowed for real differentiation from shade to shade as they weren't so sheer that they ran together.

I appreciate you wanting to prevent people from opening them but this really isn’t working out for me.The texture was smooth, moderately emollient, and felt like it melted against the warmth of my lips during application, so I'd recommend being more aware of that and applying just one layer as it skated so readily across my lips otherwise. The slip dissipated slightly after the first minute of wear, though it remained emollient and glossy. There was a bit of product that sank into my lip lines, which was more noticeable on my upper lip (the horizontal lines). It wore well for three hours and felt moisturizing over time.
