About this deal

I had no idea of the medical or health benefits of drinking sarsaparilla when I was a kid but all I knew was I loved drinking the stuff when mum and dad had enough money to treat me and my brother and sisters to a full pint in bsldwins walworth rd!! Happy days We found out that virtually the only thing they could drink was sarsaparilla, so regular visits were made to Baldwins to buy the concentrate (and maybe have a drink in the shop while there!) When we told the doctor/nurse at the hospital they had never heard of sarsaparilla!!! Sarsaparilla is generally considered safe. The biggest risk to you is fraudulent marketing and misinformation. Fraudulent claims

In the Philippines, Sarsi is a brand name for a sarsaparilla drink originally manufactured by Cosmos Bottling Corporation, a local company that is now a subsidiary of Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines, Inc. [28] Cosmos Bottling Corporation was established in 1918 as Manila Aerated Water Company. [29] Sarsi was originally branded as Cosmos Sarsaparilla until the 1970s. The unique taste that distinguishes the current version of Sarsi from other sarsaparilla-based soft drinks is attributed to the sugar substitute saccharin, although its "regular" formula contains high fructose corn syrup or cane sugar. Dietary supplements are not regulated in the United States, meaning the FDA does not approve them for safety and effectiveness before products are marketed. When possible, choose a supplement that has been tested by a trusted third party, such as USP, ConsumerLabs, or NSF. Sarsaparilla is sometimes considered to be a type of root beer. Dozens of brands of sarsaparilla are made by microbreweries, mainly in the United States. [15] Availability [ edit ]I believe sarsaparilla root was been banned by the (guess who?) E/U for what ever reason, if so what are the ingredients of present day drinks The root of the Sarsaparilla plant is very bitter, and so it was common for pharmacists to distill the useful chemicals from the plant and then to mix these with sugar and water. This tonic would often contain ingredients such as liquorice, cassia, ginger, cloves, coriander seeds, sassafras and wintergreen. The sterols found in Sarsaparilla can also increase the male sex drive and have been shown to increase blood flow and boost sperm motility.

In Vietnam, sarsaparilla is one of the flavors (Xá Xị) sold under the Mirinda brand, bottled and distributed by Suntory- PepsiCo Vietnam Beverage (formerly, PepsiCo Vietnam). [26] There is also a sarsi flavored soda (Huong Xá Xị) by Coca-Cola under the Fanta brand. Though sarsaparilla has been shown to help with certain medical problems, it may not be the most effective treatment for your particular condition. Even if you think sarsaparilla will help, your doctor may recommend that you only use sarsaparilla in conjunction with modern medical treatments, or not at all.Jones, Daniel (2011). Whether the Southwark Pensioners’ Centre should be pushing this and other so-called herbal remedies as if they were of proven therapeutic value, providing Baldwins and others with valuable free publicity, is another question. For centuries, indigenous people around the world used the root of the sarsaparilla plant for treating joint problems like arthritis, and for healing skin problems like psoriasis, eczema, and dermatitis. The root was also thought to cure Hansen’s disease (leprosy) due to its “blood-purifying” properties. that are named sarsaparilla? as a child we bought it in stone jars once a week and i am sure it was called root beer in those days.
