About this deal

St-Germain Elderflower Liquor Acquired By Bacardi, Plans To Go Global". www.huffingtonpost.com. Huffington Post. 8 January 2013 . Retrieved 12 December 2014. The Hugo is a bubbly Italian spritz made with elderflower liqueur and Prosecco! It’s the perfect refreshing drink.

Soon after, he tried to create an alcoholic product that captures this flavor - equally good as the syrup did. To focus on his elderflower liqueur, Rob Cooper had to leave the family business where he had been working up until then, and which produced and sold Chambord among others. -At least he remained within the industry. This elderflower martini is so fresh and floral! Featuring homemade sweet and sour mix, gin, vodka and St Germain, it's everything bright and floral! The perfect use for this liqueur.

St Germain liqueur is from France, and it is the world's first commercially produced elderflower. It got its name from the fashionable quarter of St-Germain-des-Près located in Paris. Nose: Floral, supple nose with hints of lychee in syrup, a touch of peach nectar and fresh, sweet blossom. Although it’s a bit labor intensive, it’s important to cut the flowers off with as little stem as possible attached. This is because the stems contain a toxic compound and can cause stomach upset in large amounts in some people. St Germain isn't often paired with whiskey, so this drink is fun and unique: the Irish Maid! It's similar to a whiskey smash, pairing Irish whiskey with cucumber, lemon and St. Germain.

Alternatively, you could try muddling some cucumber then shake with ice and your gin of choice. That would add plenty of flavor, too.

Simonson, Robert (29 December 2009). "A Decade of Invention, and Reinvention". The New York Times . Retrieved 11 March 2014. If you’re interested in learning more about elderflower, we have a complete guide on it where you’ll learn where it comes from, how it’s made, what it tastes like, and more. After posting about grammar yesterday, I had to laugh at Dictionary.com’s Word of the Day for today and especially the quote from Dan Chiasson: How do you say St Germain?First off, don’t say “Saint”. It’s actually pronounced “Sahn-jer-MAHN.” But however you want to say it to not sound too pretentious with your friends, go for it!
