You can think of it as the equivalent to a screen resolution change if you like. A movie is not made better by being shown at 4K rather than 480p DVD quality, but the experience of watching it is still more enjoyable. A Thrustmaster T150 will indicate when your car is about to lose traction just like a T-GT, but the way this is relayed is subtler and more detailed. I'm in the same spot as yourself. Looking to get a wheel and I'm having a hard time deciding between the more budget friendly Logitech G series / Thrustmaster T248 or the more expensive ones such as T300 RS GT, TX Leather edition. I've also looked into used ones but I do like the idea of having the warranty knowing these might crap out. My main choice is now T300 RS GT as a lot of people recommends it, it can be upgraded, paired with a nice H pattern shifter but I've found the pool on this forum,about the reliability of the T300, and it doesn't look good. So now I'm out of viable options...what do you think? While this is a new model, it actually slots neatly into the same modular system used by the Thrustmaster T500 RS, which was released in the PS3 era but offers some compatibility with PS4. That means the R300 RS can use the gearbox and advanced pedal board Thrustmaster already sells. What you get in the box here need only be a starting point. It’s less of an issue if you’re shopping for a wheel to use in VR, as you won’t be able to see any extra functions like shift lights or adjustment dials found on rival wheels. Gran Turismo 7’s faithfully created car interiors are easier on the eye at any rate, so we spent more time looking at the screen than glancing down at the wheel itself.

We can’t imagine many people being unhappy with the Thrustmaster T300 RS, though, especially as it’s one of the first wheels to offer full PS4 support. It features a little slider on the wheelbase that switches compatibility between PC/PS3 and PS4, because it’s not simply a case of developing a PS4 driver. Whether you’re upgrading from an entry-level racing wheel or looking to immerse yourself in sim racing for the first time, the Thrustmaster T300RS GT Edition remains a firm recommendation. It’s ready out the gate for PS5 racers, despite having been on the market for longer than the console itself.We’ll be testing the Thrustmaster T300 RS primarily with DriveClub on PS4, Gran Turismo 5/6 on PS3, and a few other racing titles on PC. For those in doubt: DriveClub is not a particularly realistic game, nor is it meant to be.
