About this deal

Building a wireless multiroom system has never been easier. Group WiiM Mini with other AirPlay 2 speakers, Alexa-enabled devices, or another WiiM Minis to have a multi-room/synchronized audio experience. It doesn't do Chromecast so my heading might be misleading, but it does do a lot that the CCA did originally, with a plus being Spotify connect and tidal connect plus Bluetooth and airplay. The WiiM Mini is the ultimate music streamer. Not only is the device compact and lightweight, it provides a host of features. Take advantage of its wireless multi-room and multi-channel features whilst streaming hi-res audio.

The WiiM Mini has touch controls on its surface while all the connections for linking to a hi-fi are ... [+] round the outside of Mini. WiiM So just like the DAC, this is a mass market ADC implementation. Good enough for common uses though but I would not route the clean output of any DAC through it. It’s been in beta testing for the past couple of weeks but this weekend Wiim is rolling out an over-the-air update to the Mini – version 4.6.408142 – that rights the above wrongs. WiiM Mini is a Hi-Res audio streamer that turns any audio gear to smart sound system. Enjoy listening to your music, podcast, audiobook or radio station from cloud music service providers and online radio wirelessly. Just connect WiiM Mini and use the WiiM Home app to play music wirelessly over your Wi-Fi Network. Nintendo DS (2004) | Nintendo DS Lite (2006) | Nintendo DSi (2008) | Nintendo DSi XL (2009) | Nintendo 3DS (2011) | Nintendo 3DS XL (2012) | Nintendo 2DS (2013) | New Nintendo 3DS (2014) | New Nintendo 3DS XL (2014) | New Nintendo 2DS XL (2017)The sound quality produced by this little streamer is exceptionally good for the money. All it needs to operate is a 5V DC power supply. You could use almost any USB power adapter. WiiM provides a power supply and cable in the box. Alternatively, you can use the USB power outlet from a host audio device if it has one-. The choice is yours. HomeKit News is not in any way afflilated or endorsed by Apple Inc. or any subsidiary companies related to Apple. the Home app now features a ‘fixed output’ option that (presumably) bypasses the Mini’s DSP-based volume attenuator. That means a line-level output when connecting the Wiim to an integrated amplifier via its 3.5mm analogue output and a bit-perfect stream when connecting it to a DAC over TOSLINK.

One word of caution, as of ios16 it seems AirPlay is broken for the A50+, although the WiiM Mini still works fine. Hopefully either Apple or Arylic will get on the case and fix it. So just a hair better than using Airplay. The internal DAC as expected, is a mass market product than high performance. Make your life easier by automating your routines. For your sleeping and wake-up routines, create a routine to wake up or fall asleep to your favourite music, station, or podcasts. Or, use your Alexa to create routines. The WiiM is not a HomeKit device, which is actually the case for nearly all Airplay products including HomePods, and Apple TVs (Belkin’s Soundform Connect is an exception that comes with a HomeKit QR code) but they can still be added to the Home app. The distinction here is that they can be added to the Home app, but not HomeKit; You may or may not have noticed, but no third-party HomeKit apps get access to AirPlay devices, so whilst everything from a HomePod Mini to the WiiM Mini can work in the Home app, it’s not the case for any other app. On the side of the Wii Mini casing you’ll find the sync button (for pairing the console with Wii Remote controllers) and a small panel secured by a single screw – these contains a user-serviceable battery which helps the system retain save data. It’s worth (err) pausing here to mention that setting the Wiim Mini’s volume control to 100% inside the Wiim Home app will, in most use cases, optimise its sound quality. It’s almost always better for sound quality to use an amplifier’s (or external DAC’s) volume control than use the digital attenuation executed by a consumer-grade network streamer, especially if you prefer to listen at low volume levels. K? K. The Mini’s manual mentions that the unit’s volume output can be fixed at line-level (100%) using the Wiim Home app but I couldn’t find that setting. And despite its sonic shortcomings in a high-end hi-fi context, the Wiim Mini (€99) + Chord Mojo (€499) can be had for almost the same money as a 2021 Bluesound Node (€549). And yet the two-fer edges the Node on detail dig and top-to-bottom dynamic punch and is more likely to go wherever you go: to the office or on vacation. How’s that for something to think about? The little Wiim is also what you add to an Audiolab 6000A (Play) to take its gapless streaming support beyond Spotify. The WiiM Mini is a compact music streamer and ideal for updating almost any music system to the ... [+] digital age. WiiM

If you want a multi-room music system in your home, the WiiM lineup is a very cost-effective way of doing it, as you can use your existing speakers and hi-fi. The system enables you to play different music in different rooms, or you can opt to play the same music throughout the house and the WiiM system will ensure all the separate speakers are kept in perfect sync. The WiiM Mini will automatically pop up in your WiiM Home app. The in-app guide will thereafter aid you in the rest of the setup, and you will be able to start streaming music in less than 2 minutes. This is the best you can do with 24-bit dithered signal. At 141 dB, your limit then will be what your DAC can do as even state of the are units have a SINAD of 123 dB. If use Spotify and/or Tidal apps, the WiiM Mini is compatible with their ‘Connect’ feature (premium account may be required). This lets you use the Spotify or Tidal to take direct control of the Mini, giving you a seamless experience as you switch between devices. Support for AirPlay 2 lets you stream audio directly from your Apple device, via the Mini.

WiiM supports a multitude of popular music streaming services, all accessible in the WiiM Home app with more to come. Alternatively, connect to your NAS or local files to stream your favourites. The WiiM Mini is a pretty small device, although not as small as the aforementioned Belkin Soundform Connect, but then the WiiM does come with controls on the top, so if it was much smaller, anyone with the well-documented ‘Sausage fingers’ affliction, may well not be able to control this device… Toppng PA5, Onkyo TX RZ810, Topping D10Balanced, Topping E30, Drop THX789, HE 400i, HarmonicDyne Helios. Want the same audio quality as that of an artist's recording in the studio? The WiiM Mini has got you covered, supporting up to 192kHz, 24-bit audio output. Additionally, the integrated TI stereo DAC provides high-quality analogue audio output with 106-dB SNR, dynamic range, and -92dB THD+N performance. I've seen you can set Alexa to use one of these as the default for music ... does anyone know if it'll then play every sound from Alexa through it then including alarms without having to switch input if there's a seperate feed into the Aux In?

Hi all. Firstly at date of writing this I haven't heard one of these streamers. I am only going by a few positive articles I have read. Game & Watch (1980-1991) | Virtual Boy (1995) | Pokémon Pikachu (1998) | Pokémon Pikachu 2 GS (1999) | Pokémon mini (2001) | Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. (2020) | Game & Watch: The Legend of Zelda (2021) WiiM Mini supports up to 192kHz, 24-bit audio output. That's the same as an artist's recording in the studio. The Wii Mini offers a fuzzy, ill-defined picture with depressingly washed-out colours, and looks laughable when placed alongside HD machines like the PS3 and Xbox 360. The impact isn’t quite as dramatic if you’re playing on a small portable TV, but on anything larger than 32 inches and the image quality is abysmal – so bad in fact that it gets in the way of your enjoyment. This looks great. If I were to connect this to my Quad Vena by toslink am I right in thinking I would still be using the DAC in the Vena? I'm pretty new to streaming and I've been using Blue tooth Aptx so far. The tidal connect feature is what I'm looking for. We think you'll agree our 6 Year Guarantee offers fantastic value. What's more, if you don't use it Other Streaming Services】The WiiM wireless hifi adapter allows you to stream from other popular services such as TuneInRadio, Deezer, Qobuz, Napster, iHeartRadio, Global Radio and many more using the dedicated WiiM App. Since my analyzer can't control streaming devices, these are all the tests I can reasonably run. I think we have a good picture though.
