About this deal

So if you're determined to convince yourself that Guinness is good for you you'll have a far more convincing case drinking 0.0. On the all-important matter of taste, both tasters were very impressed by the flavours of both drinks. Coffee and dark chocolate came through stronger again in the Guinness 0.0, whereas malt and hops were found to be more present in the Guinness Draught. Taste- how enjoyable was the flavour of the drink? How strong or rich was it? What flavours came through strongest? Did it make you want to take another sip?

Most governments around the world class drinks with 0.5% ABV or lower as ‘alcohol-free’, hence the use of the term. Enjoy your next round of Guinness beer with some classy style with this Guinness 20-ounce Gravity Pint Glass.

Guinness says its new non-alcoholic beer has 'the same beautifully smooth taste, perfectly balanced flavour and unique dark colour of Guinness Draught, just without the alcohol.' If you're looking for a housewarming gift for someone who loves Guinness, then this Guinness Pint Glass Set is the perfect choice! When I carefully pour a 440ml can into my original Guinness pint glass, well it comes up a bit short in appearance; my glass is left approximately only 2/3 full! Great product Guinness but come on, presentation is still crucial. Please give us a REAL PINT of Guinness ’00’ in cans , don’t give us half measures; I’ll gladly pay the extra! Cheers Mind pale ale from @fierceandnoble . Bready malts, peppery spice and grapefruit citrus on the nose. Bitterness when we taste, grapefruit citrus and earthy pine, this carries on through the drink. Some tropical and stone fruit manages to peek through free-beer.co.uk/fierce-noble… @FreeBeer_UK - Aug 11

The aroma of the Guinness 0.0 was judged to be stronger than that of the Guinness Draught, our tasters found. Sweet and malty scents of coffee and dark chocolate were pleasantly identified in the 0.0, whereas the Draught, although similar, had a milder aroma overall. Choose well, buy better and save money using our expert tips Get our Weekly Scoop newsletter - it's free Look at a Guinness Draught, and you’ll see a world-renowned, best-selling beer with groundbreaking innovation right at its ruby-red heart. Lifted High Protein Lager from Lifted Brewing. Surprisingly clear considering the protein in it - 10g per can! Bready malts and stone fruits on the nose, and a malty taste which grows into a citrus bitterness. The body has more heft than your usual lager free-beer.co.uk/lifted-lager… @FreeBeer_UK - Jul 28 Eazy Peazy from @amundsenbrewery . Aroma is full on tropical - juicy mango and pineapple, citrus orange, resinous pine. Tropical fruit sweetness when we taste, with more citrus coming through and bringing in the bitterness, along with some earthy notes free-beer.co.uk/amundsen-eaz… @FreeBeer_UK - Jul 20Both drinks were enjoyed immensely, but for our two tasters the Guinness Draught came out on top. Could we tell the Guinness 0.0 from the Guinness Draught? Tried it at wedding party in Kilkenny. Fantastic product, so close to the real thing you can be fooled, however… Worth noting: as we discovered, you'll need more than one can of Guinness 0.0 to fill the iconic pint glass as each can is 440ml. At 70 calories per 440ml can, you get less than half the calories drinking Guinness 0.0 than you do drinking a 440ml can of Guinness Draught (154 calories).

Each pint takes so long to dispense on the micro draught system it will prove impossible to serve enough on a busy night. It cannot be served via keg and beer lines as it is alcohol free and I forsee landlords stopping selling it via micro draught due to the time taken to serve. I can see it sold only by widget cans soon enough. The novice Guinness drinker mostly thought that the Guinness 0.0 was the Guinness Draught and that the Guinness Draught was the Guinness 0.0, but they were nonetheless able to notice that the two drinks were slightly different. Appearance- did the drink look appealing? Was there clear separation between the dark body and the creamy white head? Did it look flat or lively? Svart/Hvit from @nogneo . Treacle, coffee, roasted malts and vanilla on the nose, restrained bitterness with more roasted grains, coffee and a slight caramel sweetness as we taste. Lovely hefty body. Could easily pass for a full-fat stout free-beer.co.uk/nogne-o-svar… #alcoholfree @FreeBeer_UK - Sep 5 Update 11/11/2020: Guinness has announced a recall of Guinness 0.0, due to a contamination which it says may make some cans unsafe to drink.Whilst I have never been a heavy drinker, I have enjoyed a pint of Guinness all of my life. I was delighted when Guinness ’00’ was launched and I do thoroughly, thoroughly enjoy it. The canned version is undoubtedly the nearest to draught I have ever sampled; excellent… but… Overall both of our tasters found Guinness 0.0 a delightful alternative to Guinness Draught. Veteran Guinness drinkers will most likely be able to tell which is which, but as alcohol-free alternatives go, our tasters thought Guinness is onto a winner with the 0.0.
