About this deal

Puddingstone Distillery in Hertfordshire, distillers of the Campfire Gin range, have relaunched this festive treat in a new bigger bottle for 2023! The gin is distilled with botanicals inspired by a classic Hertfordshire Christmas Pudding recipe, before being rested for 2 months in ex-bourbon casks loaded with fresh local cherries and with no added sugar. The Gin Liqueur contains warming flavours of Christmas spices, including cinnamon with mince pie, Christmas cake, dried fruit like raisins and prunes overlaid with icing sugar, toffee and syrup on the aroma. A syrupy sweetness, combined with dried fruits, gives you a liquefied Christmas pudding on the palate. Although you can’t see it clearly in the bottle, there’s also a golden shimmer that shines beautifully in your glass. Warner's Christmas Cake Gin is inspired by founder Tom's mum's Christmas cake recipe. It is made with sloes, dark chocolate, treacle, ginger, orange, cherry juice and an array of festive spices, such as cinnamon, nutmeg and clove. It is recommended to be served neat, in a festive Espresso Martini or with cola and orange.

These days, there’s so much more than Irish cream to choose from too — new, innovative flavours are inspired by comforting desserts, seasonal spices and plenty of chocolate. Mixed Dried Fruit – I’ve used an equal weight of raisins, currants and apricots for some extra fruit flavour. You can use whatever you like most. Just make the weight up with your favourites, but have a good base of about 2/3 of dark vine fruit. In case the bottle design didn’t give it away, this shimmery, golden liquid is designed to taste exactly like a Christmas pudding. So you can expect plenty of syrupy sweet, boozy dried fruit, orange bitters and cherry. It makes sense that a festive spirit will help get you into the, ahem, festive spirit, so of course we're getting excited about Christmas gins. These seasonal offerings infuse a gin base with all manner of festive flavours, from candy canes, mulled wine, Christmas pudding, and cranberries to clementines, frankincense, myrrh, and even Brussels sprouts — yes, really. That takes the trend for unusual gins to next-level greatness.

Sixpence Christmas Pud Details

Set to become another cult yuletide spirit this Christmas Pudding Gin Liqueur deserves pride of place amidst the festivities. It’s the star of the drinks cabinet and a showstopping centrepiece for the holiday season guaranteed to make it a very merry Christmas. Before you start, read my step-by-step instructions, with photos, hints and tips so you can make this perfectly every time. For serving, Didsbury Gin recommends serving straight on ice. Or, heat up the glass to give it a warming effect. Speaking of the launch, Didsbury Gin co-founder, Liam Manton said: "Nothing quite says Christmas like a Christmas pudding. [The liqueur's] rich fruity flavours complement the botanicals in Didsbury Gin perfectly to create a luscious must-have festive tipple." When the gin is ready, the fruit will be plump, the sugar dissolved and the gin a rich deep brown colour. A sediment will have formed at the bottom of the jar.

Sweet and oh-so-indulgent, liqueurs are the perfect end to any meal. Typically, they will have a lower ABV of around 15-20% (as opposed to a straight spirit such as gin, which will be upwards of 40%), making them ideal drunk neat or over ice. Sugar – Different sugars have different flavours, so take this into account. Because the dried fruit already adds lots of sweetness, you should not be tempted to over do it. Soft dark brown or muscavado sugar adds notes of treacle and caramel, while a lighter sugar would pair well with lighter fruits. This luxurious Sixpence Pud is the must-have drink this festive season. A rich Christmas liqueur with a golden shimmer, boasting notes of apple, Christmas spices, candied fruit, vanilla and caramel. Terry's Chocolate Oranges have become a Christmas essential and for decades, up until 2005, they were produced in the city of York. In homage to this and York's long chocolate-making history, York Gin have created this full-strength gin in time for Christmas with fresh oranges and cocoa nibs.No. If you keep everything in proportion, it will work just fine. More homemade liqueurs and infusions To make this festive treat, Leicestershire's Bond Street Distillery steep their London Dry Gin with traditional Mince Pie fruits and spices, such as sultanas, currants, apple, orange zest, cinnamon, cloves, allspice and nutmeg. We've tried it ourselves and it really does taste like Mince Pies! online resource for news and information on Champagne and Sparkling wines, prestigious industry awards and trade tastings.

That Boutique-y Gin Co' have created another deliciously bonkers gin for Christmas. As well as traditional gin botanicals they've added everything Christmassy into the still, including a gingerbread house, chestnuts, mince pies, Christmas tree needles, gold glitter, frankincense and myrrh. Could it be anymore Christmassy! You can also add more or less sugar based on how sweet and syrupy you want your gin liqueur to come out - the more sugar you add, the more treacly your liqueur will become (all the better for drinking neat or over ice!). Shed 1 Distillery in Cumbria have created their Festive Tipple and it is Christmas in a glass! It's a smooth mix of festive flavours including cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, sultanas and cherries with subtly sweet orange. Be sure to try their Festive Bramble Gin Elixir too! This festive Limited Edition version of our multi award-winning OTG is intense and indulgent. Created with orange zest, a hint of cinnamon and woody top notes, all sweetened with a touch of honey to provide a seasonal warmth when it’s chilly outside. For a delicious winter warmer by the fire, serve with ginger ale and a squeeze of lime. Instead of waiting weeks for your sloe gin recipe to mature, and measuring out spices and mulling syrup, you’ll find all the rich flavours of mulled sloe gin bottled inside this spiced liqueur.
