About this deal

This perfume has a cult-like following for good reason. The smoky and woodsy blend of oud, sandalwood, and vetiver smell straight-up sexy and mysterious. It’s the perfect perfume for date night or going out. Well done, Tom Ford. You wouldn’t think vanilla and patchouli would go together so well, but in this fragrance from Michelle Pfeiffer, the combo creates a beautifully rich, warm scent that smells both decadent and grounded, thanks to its added vetiver and green grass (!). It’s smooth and intoxicating—like the perfume equivalent to jazz—giving it an earthy depth that truly isn’t overwhelming. But although this is an eau de parfum (which usually means it is denser and has a stronger scent profile, meaning it’ll last longer), this perfume is fairly weak, which I actually prefer for days when I just want a slight waft of my fragrance. But if you like a stronger scent, dab a little Vaseline or Aquaphor on your wrists before spritzing this on to give the perfume something to grip onto and increase the longevity a lil bit. One spritz of this fresh-smelling perfume is all you need—your skin will be left with the perfect combination of pear, green tea, and floral s (think: freesia, peony, and orange blossom). Plus, it's got a subtle hint of musk and sandalwood to finish it all off.

You’d think this fragrance would leave you smelling like an explosion of flowers because, well, that’s how it’s marketed. But lemme tell ya, it’s much more complex than that. Sure, you get a fresh orchid, freesia, jasmine, and rose scent, but what makes it interesting (and oh-so-yummy) are the subtle notes of sweet vanilla and spicy patchouli. Just because you like patchouli doesn’t mean you always want to smell like you’ve got straight patchouli oil on all day long. That’s where La Vie Est Belle comes in— it’s a sweet floral scent (hi to the iris, vanilla, and warm sugar) with just a whisper of patchouli. It’s basically the La Croix of patchouli perfumes. In a world where vanilla perfumes, rose fragrances, and the likes of Santal 33 reign supreme, patchouli perfumes are severely slept on, if you ask me. And I’ll be honest: they weren’t really my thing either (I pretty much always want to smell sweet and edible), until I realized that patchouli, which generally smells earthy and musky, doesn’t have to exist on its own as a one-note scent. Once I realized that some of the best perfumes contain patchouli, I learned that patchouli perfumes aren’t just woodsy and heavy—they can also be sweet, floral, and fresh, too. Now, I’ll wax poetic about the versatile powers of patchouli until the end of time. If you like a strong, heavy floral that smells like it's practically blooming as you wear it, sniff Lys 41. It's filled with classic floral notes (jasmine, tuberose, and lily), but is grounded by musk and vanilla so it has a very mature, elegant vibe.

I’m legit obsessed with Le Monde Gourmande, an affordable line of fragrances that includes this light and sweet vanilla perfume. It’s definitely decadent— hello, vanilla, brown sugar, and apricot—but the amber and jasmine help tone it down a bit from being too rich and heavy. I actually wear this in big crowds a lot without worrying it’ll give someone a headache. This is technically marketed for men, but fragrance has no gender, which is why I proudly wear this spicy perfume myself. But tbh, I actually gifted this to a guy I was dating once because I wanted my partner to smell like it too. Why? Because it’s filled with a blend of v-spicy notes— cinnamon, pepper, incense, patchouli, tobacco—that are all blended with ultra-sweet vanilla to make this scent practically ~irresistible.~ (Fyi, we did break up, but he def still remembers me every time he smells this rich fragrance). Selfishly, peonies are my all-time favorite flower, so naturally I have no issue smelling like one. Still, even if florals aren’t your thing, don’t be intimidated— this isn’t your typical stuffy, overpowering, floral perfume. It’s incredibly light and pretty, so you’ll only smell like a whisper of peony rather than a scream. If you love how your hair smells after you go camping, then I guarantee you’ll love this fragrance. It combines all those earthy notes you love (tobacco leaves, pine, incense, and cedarwood) with warm vanilla. But trust: This fragrance isn’t actually sweet at all—instead, it’s actually very sheer and meant to be a skin scent, meaning it sits really close to your skin and smells like you, but better.

Cosmopolitan Eau de Parfum 100ml - The Range

To me, it's a skin scent, meaning it sits really close to your skin and just mimics your body's natural chemistry. So if you want something with major sillage, this prob won't be your fave. But I love catching little whiffs of myself throughout the day when I'm wearing this. If there's one thing the 2020s have brought us (other than, erm, let's not even mention it), it's celebrity beauty brands. Billie Eilish joined the masses with the drop of her new fragranc e, Eau de Parfum, just last year. And trust, the scent is just as pretty as the bottle.
