This Dalmore is then fully finished in casks having held a very unique sherry, created especially for A wonderful Dalmore 21-year-old that has been matured, American Oak/Gonzalez Byass Oloroso Sherry casks, released in 2015. The Dalmore 12 Year Old stands as a testament to intricate maturation techniques. Initially aged for 9 years in ex-bourbon casks, this single malt whisky then embarks on a distinctive journey. Half of the spirit rests for an additional 3 years in Oloroso sherry butts, while the other half continues to mature in bourbon casks.
