About this deal

Having said that, Intel HD Graphics 4000 comes standard with every mid-to-high-end third-generation Intel Core CPU. It is one of the most talked-about features of the Dell Latitude E5430 and its Ivy Bridge processors. Finally, you have the option to get a model of the laptop with a 128 GB Solid State Drive (SSD)for a slightly higher price. So, what does all this buy you? Plenty of runtime in this case. To reiterate, our review unit received a standard 9-cell battery, and we were impressed with the results. One of the first items we tested was minimal system usage under nearly-idle conditions via the Reader’s Test in Battery Eater. Before testing, as always, we fully charged the unit and disabled sleep, hibernation, screen and hard drive timeouts, and all wireless radios. Under these conditions and set to the “Power Saver” power profile, the notebook stayed alive for an exceptional 11 hours and 2 minutes. Hard drive retention: Hard drive retention is not available on models with a soldered hard drive, including XPS 9315 2in1, Chromebooks or Venue tablets, except the Venue 11 Pro. Suffice it to say, the Latitude E5430 is yet another step toward affordable perfection in the business market. It represents an intelligent balance between luxury and economics, focusing on the areas which matter most and skimming over some of the more robust details championed by the upper-echelon Latitude E6XXX series. It improves upon its predecessor by adding USB 3.0 (2 ports) and extending the battery life while simultaneously improving performance—even in the graphics department, which continues to impress with the help of the Ivy Bridge-based Intel HD Graphics 4000.

Two weeks ago, we brought you our full reviewof the newest member of the Latitude E5XXX family, the E5530. In it, we praised its impressive performance, stable construction, great battery life, and largely unmatched input devices. We were pleased by the inclusion of two USB 3.0 ports, an upgrade which the E5430 also boasts over its predecessor (the E5420). Meanwhile, we had our reservations about the E5530’s hefty weight, noise level, and subpar fit and finish. The distinction between the Latitude 6XXX series and the lower-grade 5XXX series is certainly evident in a side-by-side comparison, with such luxury MIL-STD 810G-tested amenities as magnesium alloy wrapped corners and heavy-duty hinges surrendered in exchange for a lower price tag. But how much do such omissions really affect the Latitude E5430’s overall appeal? And how well does it fare in the wake of its last-gen predecessor, the E5420?Dell designed Latitude E5430 laptop for those who cannot live without VGA displays, ExpressCards, or optical discs. It’s a good laptop with one of the most ports we’ve seen on a non-desktop computer in a long time. Caution: Before working on your machine it is worth considering the following safety information: Safety precautions when working with electrical equipment Are you looking for a budget-friendly laptop that can handle your everyday computing tasks? If you answered yes, you should read this Dell Latitude E5430 review because it may be the one for you! There are plenty of old-school internal expansion slots, I/O connections, and a DVD drive on this laptop. If you still have a large archive of material on DVD, the DVD drive will be useful.

Review Dell Latitude E5430 Notebook - NotebookCheck.net Review Dell Latitude E5430 Notebook - NotebookCheck.net

A smartly-designed notebook that clearly knows its place in the business market. All of the essentials are covered. This feature works independently of the installed storage device (it’s a board-level feature). It protects the drive from sudden changes in the notebook’s posture. Before I conclude this section, there is one feature I like to mention. Dell Latitude E5430 features Dell Fast Response Free Fall Sensor.

Display

The 8GB RAM on the laptop I reviewed, on the other hand, was an outstanding multitasker. As a result, I was able to open different applications and easily switch between them without the laptop stuttering. Finally, I changed the laptop’s power profile to “Balanced” and increased the screen brightness to around 120 nits. The laptop lasted 7 hours and 43 minutes in this setting, which should be enough time to get some work done at normal laptop brightness and performance settings. Finally, the transfer speeds from the hard drive and the 8-in-1 memory card reader are excellent, but they are slower than those available on more expensive laptops. As a result, I’ll give it a seven in this category. Dell Latitude E5430 Graphic Card Performance Review The Dell Latitude E5430 looks every bit like an old-school mainstream business laptop. It comes with a dark grey surface bisected by a silver bezel surrounding the chassis. With all of this in mind, I’ll give the graphics performance a six.
