About this deal

Since this unit tour was organised by the beautiful people at HiFiGo, I am grateful to them. And as I've said in all of my evaluations, the same is true for this one: all of the concepts I've expressed below are entirely my own, original ideas that haven't been influenced by anyone else. If interested, go to this link. Fit / IsolationThe DKC fits me fairly nicely when I fiddle for a minute. A small price to pay for a good seal on this latest Dunu single DD. The shape is kind of flat against the ear with a shorter front nozzle. Couple that with the fact that the Dunu S&S eartips are a sort of odd fit themselves and what you have is a fiddling session. No problem though, I expect as much from any iem I put into my ears. I have zero idea how the DKC will fit you, but I do think the DKC has a pretty universal build which should fit most ears. You may not have any of my fit issues at all, and they may fit you like a glove. ITX PC / WiiM Pro - Mola Mola Makua - Apollon NCx500+SS2590 - Thiel CS3.7 => (loading) March Sointuva AWG COMFORT, ISOLATION, AND FITComfort is excellent, with the Dunu Kima aiding a snug, reliable fit. Isolation is average due to the two vents.

Customers are to bear the consequences and fees incurred, if the parcel was undelivered due to any of the following situation: Although constructed of metal, the Kima are relatively lightweight (15g). Coupled with the smooth ergonomic shape and small size, the Kima are comfortable in the ear. Again, nothing especially unusual here, just good design from a company with experience crafting IEMs. Internals Both iems have decent extension of the treble region and make a nice showing up top. Both offer some levity, but the Kima definitely have a bit more luster in this area. In the grand scheme of things, the Kima has the brighter and airier sound to the Aria’s warmer and smoother sound. The treble region of the Kima seems to draw out instruments a bit better but also may be a bit more fatiguing in the long run… maybe. I honestly don’t find either too strenuous on my eardrums. Perhaps the Kima can get a bit hot in that upper-mid & lower treble region which is something that the Aria does not do at all. Neither are too peaky or sibilant and both conduct themselves in a clean and non-offensive manner. Technicalities Mobile solutionsIt was when I began using more powerful sources that I really started to see what the DKC was made of. Even something as mildly powerful as the Fiio UTWS5 was able to really bring upon great mobile sound quality. The embedded AK4332 dac issues a slight warmth and a beefed-up bass region and the DKC followed suit while also coming across pretty clean. Certainly, one of the best true wireless options on the market. Using the IFi Go Blu with its warmer and more lush Cirrus Logic CS43131 dac chip I found the DKC gained a bit more in note weight and vibrance, and macro-dynamics came alive. Especially on 4.4 balanced. With expectations firmly set by ground beef, a waifu, and CRIZ FACTION protectors, we have a good idea of what to expect with this new set of IEMs from DUNU. Huh? No, I guess not.BQEYZ recently released the Topaz ( my Topaz review) ( Mahir’s Topaz review) to some pretty solid acclaim. This seems to be the norm for this company which also seems to not make many mistakes. BQEYZ takes their time and brings to fruition a finished product. The Topaz is no different. Choosing to go with a 13mm LCP Dynamic Driver paired with a nine-layer Piezoelectric Driver proved to be a winning combo. I chose the Topaz because of the starker contrast in sound and because the price isn’t too far off. Hopefully it’ll help someone understand the Kima a bit better…or not. Low-end

The issue with the T4 Plus lies in the technical department. The staging is wider than the Kima but not as deep. They sound less refined in the mids, and the more present treble is offset by poorer imaging and slightly worse dynamics. I think the Dunu Kima showcase a better execution of the “warm, inoffensive” tuning than the T4 Plus. This warranty extends only to personal use & does not extend to any product that has been used for commercial use, rental use, or use that is not intended. There are no warranties other than expressly set forth herein. Is there enough to really separate this set from the rest in the price point? Other than maybe it’s build, look, and the fact that the DKC is more of an all-rounder type listen. The Dunu Kima Classic doesn’t specialize in anything really but excels in a few key metrics. However, I really do enjoy them and am perfectly content and happy with them replaying my library of music.

Difference Between Kima & Kima Classic

As I end my evaluation and assessment on KIMA, DUNU proves to the audio enthusiast community that they will deliver the best possible audio quality even in the entry-level segment. As it also noted that DUNU isn't really that exceptional when its technical capabilities even on their midranger like DUNU but rather focus on superb tonal balanced sound with almost accurate tonal colour, DUNU KIMA possesses those tonal and technical philosophy that will give a more pleasurable listening experience to audio enthusiasts. Regarding its sound profile, Dunu Kima takes a more mild-U shaped sound signature that it sounds so balanced and almost neutral to listen with. It has just minor colouration in the overall sound spectrum. The gold-plated brass nozzles are ridged to retain ear tips, have a metal interior grill, and are polished and extraordinarily shiny. The Kima’s midrange has a warm, bodied tonality courtesy of the bass shelf extending through to the 300 Hz region and early upper mids rise (pinna gain). To balance out the sound, the Kima maintains this level of upper mids energy well into the 5 kHz region. It provides vocal and instrument clarity and prevents the Kima from sounding too bogged down. On the flip side, the bodied nature of the Kima keeps it from sounding shouty. Vocals are nicely positioned - distinctly positioned independent of the other instruments, but not too forward that it steals the spotlight. Acoustic guitars and cellos in particular shine on the Kima with a lushness in the strings. Gritty, moody tones of the electric guitar are emphasized over screaming lead lines. As a whole, I find the Kima’s midrange to be an easy and enjoyable listen. Notes are cleanly defined across the board but not sharply so to maintain a relaxed nature. Details on the “microcontroller” are scant, and it isn’t clear what this term means. The Kima are a balanced and pleasant sounding pair of IEMs. DUNU Kima Sound

More fun KimaAll things considered; I really dig the low-end of the Dunu Kima Classic. They won’t wow you in straight up bass density and boom, but the bass region isn’t one-noted and the DKC has nice sub-bass extension that reaches pretty low. The sound is clearly emphasized enough for most any genre and is robust enough to indulge the “fun factor” within us. Again, if you are comparing it to the OG Kima, the newer Classic has a lot more rumble and flat-out thump than the OG. This is much more of a party in comparison, and simply put…The Classic is more fun. The Kima midrange has a pleasing and relatively natural-sounding tonality. They are a touch warmer than neutral, adding to the weight and body of the sound, and the Kima avoid sounding light or thin. Any item returned must be complete with all accessories, hardware, manuals, or instructions, and in the same "new" condition as when it was when shipped to you. Please send us photos or videos of it. This type of bass will be satisfying enough for a listener who wants a less colouration on their listening but bassheads who wants a boomy bass might look somewhere else. The stage size is average to my ears all the way around. The width is average, height isn’t the Kima’s best quality and there is some depth. Let’s put it this way, the soundstage isn’t simply localized within my head space but also it isn’t super airy or spread out. It’s average, it’s appropriate to my music and it isn’t a detriment to my music either. The soundstage simply isn’t a selling point or a “pro” in my opinion. Separation/Imaging
