About this deal

I love how Imogen, 9, and younger brother, Arthur, cope with not just the everyday-ness of having a penguin at home, going to a restaurant 🤣 and sneaking him off to school 🤭

However, Einstein’s stay with the family is not just because he sought a home. It seems he’s on the search for a friend from whom he was separated at Sydney Zoo. Can Imogen piece together the clues that Einstein’s collected? Then again, can she and Arthur stay a step ahead of the suspicious man in the hat? I have even talked the head into a little revamp of the library so that we can display them properly! Author Luke Palmer introduces his new book, Play (Firefly Press) about four boys growing up together, the challenges, the friendships, and what hap... The family’s new feathered friend helps Arthur to come out of his shell and makes massive demands on Imogen’s amateur sleuthing. But together they must find out why Einstein came to them and they must keep away from the mysterious white-coat man.One day, Einstein the penguin turns up at the house of the Stewart family and they discover he is on a rescue mission.Funny, intriguing and utterly heart-warming, this wonderful chapter book will delight newly confident junior readers. Imogen and Arthur discover the penguin is called Einstein, who has a lost friend, Isaac. Imogen and Arthur set to some detective work.. where are these penguins from? How did they end up here? and where is Isaac now? An adventure full of suspense unfolds and they end up travelling to Scotland, meeting detectives (and getting them into trouble with their boss!) rescuing Isaac and spending Christmas with a penguin! Einstein the Penguin is a very well written and exciting text. It is definitely a book that children won't be able to put down and will be fully engaged with.

Iona Rangeley Press Reviews

The Stewart family were fun to read and I loved the way the parents were firm but supportive of their children. Einstein the Penguin is a fun holiday read for our 7-9ers, or even our tinier readers 5+ with your help. It’s perfect for a read-aloud because oh!! There are so many voices to do!😂 Although it is a book for children but I enjoyed it a lot. All the characters were likeable and adorable.

From stunning new writing talent Iona Rangeley, and illustrated with wit and brio by the award-winning David Tazzyman, this is a book that will be treasured for years to come. About This Edition ISBN: Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Was a little hard to get into at the start but that may have just been due to my environment at the time. This book was funny and ridiculous but heartwarming and unexpected in some places. Touches on the ideas of communication barriers and difficulties, friendship and the struggle to make friends, love and possible links to autism or some kind of sensory sensitivity.Hello Yellow - 80 Books to Help Children Nurture Good Mental Health and Support With Anxiety and Wellbeing -
