With the introduction of Blu-ray in 2007, New Line and Warner Bros released the theatrical versions of The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King in high-definition in 2010 in The Motion Picture Trilogy box set. ( Reviewed here.) Extended Edition Blu-ray releases, I noticed more detail in the Blu-ray presentations – and the transfers appeared more naturally filmic (with The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power is on Prime Video now, with two episodes in the first week, and the remaining six being put out weekly. Meanwhile, in episode 2, Nori ( Markella Kavenagh) becomes engrossed in the ‘giant’ who’s come to their town to stay for a while… I say ‘giant’, because he’s bigger than anyone in this world.

The excessive post-processing makes the image So let us cut to the chase: this is the best that the trilogy has ever looked, you get both the Theatrical and the Extended versions, the three steelbooks are beautiful, and the box itself matches the books.
