However, the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) does not recognize the term "hospital grade," and it is more of a marketing strategy to advertise the effectiveness of a particular pump. We were surprised at how many parts it has for being such a small pump. Although it wasn’t difficult to set up, it was time-consuming to do so. We also felt like the battery wasn’t strong enough, even on the highest setting, and that it wasn’t the most effective pump in the bunch. You can hire breastfeeding pumps from hospitals and maternity units, too. These are electric pumps that are super-efficient at expressing a high volume of milk in a short period of time. We couldn’t love the Elvie Wearable Breast Pump more than we already do. We think it’s a great option for commuting, working parent who needs a way to pump during Zoom calls or while running errands. Although it’s more expensive than other pumps, we prefer it to other similarly priced products and highly recommend it if you can get on board with the cost.

When I tested this pump with the cups it had less suction and ranked #18. But when I tested it with a traditional flange, it came in at 273 mmHg. After, connect the tubing to the tops of the cups and the other end to the motor unit and voila!
