About this deal

Cop Killer: Nemesis' main recreational activity. His main target isn't politicians or landmarks, but well known police commissioners.

Nemesis (Mark Millar) (Comic Book) - TV Tropes Nemesis (Mark Millar) (Comic Book) - TV Tropes

A follow-up miniseries, titled Nemesis: Reloaded, launched in January 2023 with Jorge Jimenez serving as artist, with the series serving as a soft reboot of the character, helping to better integrate the character into the greater Millarworld shared universe, with a new Matthew "Nemesis" Anderson being trained by Wesley "The Killer II" Gibson. Following the conclusion of Reloaded, Nemesis then appeared in Big Game, a crossover with every Millarworld property illustrated by Pepe Larraz in July the same year. I hope you like it!Mark's script is just amazing and intriguing, but above all, it's creepy, so my mission here is for you, as a reader, to dive in as soon as possible and see just [what a] badass bastard this Nemesis is. By the way, you know me, I like spectacular shots where I try to make our protagonists look as cool as possible, so I promise there will be a lot of this too! [ laughs].

Jorge Jiménez: This adventure is aimed at a more adult audience than other comics I've worked on previously. Therefore, I have complete freedom to play with elements such as explicit violence or blood. It's not that my style is very gory; however, I always wanted to go a little crazier in my strokes on this issue. Let's remember that my artistic roots and the main references I've had have always been Japanese Manga artists, and generally, this type of art is very violent, so I really wanted to do something like that! On the other hand, I have been in the American market for 10 years and have been learning from the best. For this reason, I consider that stages like Nemesis are a sublimation of all my learning over the last few years, where I mix the old of my style with the new. When you see issue two, you will see a clear example of this.

Combat Pragmatist: Aside from Nemesis himself, Margot immediately shoots her husband in the head on being told to duel him for a butler job in the last issue, not even letting her prospective employer finish explanation, not wanting to give her opponent a chance to react. The publicity was launched in October 2009, with a teaser image containing the caption "What if Batman was the Joker?" and in a subsequent interview Millar revealed that it was only one of a number of possible lines they went with, his favourite being "What if Batman was a total cunt?" [3] This caused concern at DC Comics, the publisher of Batman, but Millar denied there had been threats of legal action: Broken Pedestal: Joe Costello was elected mayor of Los Angeles due to his reputation as a fantastic cop and being seen as a good man by the people. Nemesis' public revelation that Costello framed two drug dealers for a serial killing spree, with so much of the destruction being therefore because of him, forever tarnishes his name and any good he did. Stewart, D.G. (September 11, 2020). "Happy 10th birthday, Nemesis". World Comic Book Review . Retrieved January 14, 2021. In August of 2022, it was announced that Millar would be writing a new Nemesis comic book, titled Nemesis: Reloaded, with art by Jorge Jiminez. The book is set to be five issues long, the first of which was published in January of 2023, this time by Millar's comic book studio Millarworld with Image Comics. Millar has said that it will lead into a crossover series involving Nemesis and three other Millarworld series, Big Game. Canon Welding: Explicitly takes place in the same universe as Wanted, as Nemesis joins the Fraternity at the end. Phegley, Kiel (October 30, 2009). "Millar & McNiven Tease 'Nemesis' ". Comic Book Resources . Retrieved March 6, 2010. Buried Alive: Joe Costello ends the comic alive, but buried in a casket with the skeletons of Nemesis' parents, which itself is buried beneath city hall. This stands very much on its own and is a soft reboot of the franchise. A completely new problem [that has] nothing to do with what came previously. I wanted to integrate the character into the universe I've built, and this leads directly into the big summer event, Big Game with Pepe Larraz. I thought, "If I'm stealing Marvel's biggest artist and DC's big superstar, I wanted to tie these stories together." They've worked out really great. What can fans expect from Nemesis: Reloaded? Do readers need to familiarize themselves with the original run first? As first mentioned by Bleeding Cool by accident, Jorge Jiménezis the new artist on the twelve-year-awaited return of the Nemesis series, originally published by Marvel Comics, written by Mark Millar and drawn by Steve McNiven. Steve is too busy drawing Neil Gaiman's Spider-Man memories right now – and presumably for the last decade – so Jorge Jiménez is taking a break from Batman to draw the new return of the character. Who was once advertised as "What If Batman Was A C*nt" until DC Comics told him to stop it. And yes this is the comic in which Nemesis kidnaps the policeman's kids, impregnates the daughter with the semen of the son and rigs her womb to collapse if an abortion is attempted. I'd like to say that was a different time, but I think Texan lawmakers would be fine with that right now. Here's a first Bleeding Cool look at Jorge Jiménez's inked art for the new series launching from Image Comics, Millarworld and Netflix in January – I just hope Mark Millar was able to grab Tomeu Morey to colour the final version. Their work is in such sympatico.
