Almost all Oral-B brushes have a timer built-in which will give an audible tone via a pause in the brushing at 45 second intervals and then at the end of the 3 minute cycle. There are quite a few similarities between them, but the Pro 7000 is the slightly more feature-rich and the brush that we would opt for. Like the 2 minute timer, this causes a change in the brushing sensation and the sound of the brush and is the alert you need to change from one quadrant to another. I can see both 3767 handle (connect to mobile) and smart guide (connect to 3764) bluetooth working, just not be able to pair it. Yet, due to a quirk in the Oral-B naming convention, the Smart 1500 is actually our toothbrush of choice.

This version of the Type 3741 Smart Guide was supplied with the Pulsonic range of toothbrushes and only works with Pulsonic toothbrushes marked Type 3723 on the handle. I have just bought a new toothbrush set and looked up all settings beforehand so i could use my existing Smart Guide (3742 B version). By model numbers you mean the model numbers for the handles, such as D29, D36, D700, D701, D20 etc rather than Pro 2 2000, Genius X, etc? stars (1 for each quadrant) and a smiley face confirm you have brushed for the right amount of time.

You do to get a sensitive and whitening cleaning mode on the 1500, that you don’t on the Pro 1000. Not essential, but they are useful.
