About this deal

They have an interesting extra built-in they call ‘Awareness mode’. These are over-ear headphones and also have a very snug fit. They will, therefore, exclude nearly all ambient noise. They are not, do they try to pretend to be, Noise Canceling, it is just a natural extension of their design. The mic offers mediocre intelligibility. Using the Voice Memos app on an iPhone 8, we could understand every word we recorded, but there were two issues. First, the typical Bluetooth fuzz distorts the mic a bit. More importantly, the mic signal is about as low as it gets—this may be the faintest signal we've heard on Bluetooth headphones. Conclusions

If there is one thing that you definitely need from headphones for the gym, it is that they are tough. These are that and more and with the option of changing the clamping tightness a good choice. But it is also a plus if they can be versatile. I have this problem that just the left side stops working, the play/pause and volume controls works fine but the earpiece is dead. Any advice? (6 months use) This, of course, is a good thing in many situations, but it can also be a negative if you need to be aware of what is going on around you. You might want a little chat on your run or in the gym. Awareness allows you to decide how much external noise to allow in. These are designed for exercise people. But there is no reason why they could not be used for the commute to work or other leisure activities. They score a lot of points on their build quality and the design included. The Water-Resistance

Backbeat Fit 6100 User Guide - Poly

The truly wireless age is in full swing in 2019. Sure, a lot of us still rely on the consistency of wired audio equipment, but with the improvements in Bluetooth technology over the years, the demand for more wireless peripherals has increased exponentially. Somethings is wrong, after about 1 hour led should change to blue, try other charger with other cable, if doesn't help then probably only service left :/ Headphones for the gym are quite an exclusive market, and these create a new style within that market. They have adjustments that you can make to match the level of your workout. And they also have very impressive water-resistant features. But the styling makes these more than just headphones for the gym. These could be used anywhere. Even on the commute and they wouldn’t look out of place. Just about every feature you might want shy of active noise-cancellation is here, and most importantly it all delivers. And while there’s no ANC, the passive noise cancellation is good enough to manage a noisy gym and let you make the most of the impressive audio quality. The ear cups have pillow-soft memory padding and good materials that encircles the ear. In normal mode, they do not clamp too tight and are very easy to wear, the headband is flexible and moves with you even though it is a rugged build. If you were wearing them for hours on end, you might begin to feel some overheat and general fatigue.Tech Advisor's Deputy Editor, Dom covers everything that runs on electricity, from phones and laptops to wearables, audio, gaming, smart home, and streaming - plus he's a regular fixture on the Tech Advisor YouTube channel. Unlike other on-ear workout headphones that place a painful vice-grip atop your head, Plantronics’ headphones use a novel headband adjustment mechanism that temporarily tightens the fit when you need it. Once you’re done working out, you can release the tension cord and reattach it to the original position for a more comfortable fit. The operating controls are located on the outside of the earcups as per usual. They are quite easy to operate. As an example, to increase or decrease the volume is just a swipe up or down. It is extremely hard to fix anything with this speakers, Plantronics service says it is not repairable, but... I can trot out that I have replaced one speaker from broken one my (green) with successful It is fitted with Bluetooth 5-0 capability, which helps to deliver a quality connection and response. There is though no aptX support, and it only supports AAC. If we have to find something wrong with these phones, that could be one area they could improve. You can pair up with iOS and Android devices.

The ear cups are quite large as they are an over-ear design and are quite solid in their build quality. They are a plain design with only the small PLT logo on view apart from a couple of control buttons. And they don’t look particularly sporty and resemble many other brands. They especially have the top of the range Sony look. The sound is very good, but it goes up a level when you apply the extra tight-fitting option. The sound then reaches its high point whist also improving the passive noise isolation even more. There is an App that comes with the phones where the sound and Awareness mode can be adjusted to tailor it exactly to what you want. What mars the 6100’s performance compared to some of the more distinguished competition out there, however, is its generally low volume. Even at max volume, the sound that comes out of it isn’t anything ear-splitting. However, there seems to be a considerable amount of sound leakage when you put it on, so you might want to exercise some caution when blasting music from it in public. So, as you can see, it’s almost all about stuff that’s important to the active person. Did you know that Plantronics headsets were used by NASA on the lunar missions? I wouldn’t exactly swim in them (over-ears have many good qualities, but hydrodynamics are not among them) but even your sweatiest gym session shouldn’t pose any problems, and everything is easy to wipe clean afterwards, so they shouldn’t accumulate too many gross smells. JLab Flex Sport: With a 20-hour battery life and sweat-resistant build, this headset is made for you to take to the gym. Joseph is a session musician, writer, and filmmaker from south Florida. Well well well, a year later almost to the day and there is actually a class action lawsuit against Plantronics LOL thats hilarious.i fixed mine a similar way,but it wouldnt take a charge.i dissected them with no good results.they are still great earbuds.i put them through !&&* and they took it for a lot longer than i expectedThey have a textured finish and are given a hexagonal design in the fabric. This is not just for styling, and it actually provides a better grip when you are working out. The headband is not particularly attractive to look at, but it is very functional. They are working hard while you do and have an IPX5 water-resistant rating to cope with sweat. It's a minor thing, but a must for headphones you're supposed to carry around from work to the gym.
