If the band slips free easily, you may want to use your cutting tool to cut your notch a little deeper. Sand the trigger to be slightly thinner then the main body. This will give it less friction and a smoother trigger pull.This rubber band gun was designed to use #33 rubber bands. That is an intermediate size. A stretch of about 12 inches works very well with those bands. They will travel about 20 feet or more when the gun is fired.This gun is quite accurate with respect to high or low. I provided a rough sketch of the design I had thought up. I drew up the base template for the MDF sides (yellow on the drawing) and used that to base the middle part of the frame off and also the grips. Alrighty now for the real deal. I used a construction grade plywood, so I wanted to make sure the ruff side of the plywood was on the inside of the gun on both sides.
