Because Saucony really shook things up introducing a whole new line of shoes, it feels like there needs to be at least some discussion here! I’ve been wearing Kinvaras for many years but am currently dabbling in other options both by Saucony and other brands. I’d always written off Brooks because I’ve heard it suits a narrow foot so it’s very interesting to see your point about the wider toe box. I’ll definitely give them a try on my next visit to the shoe store. As Saucony waves goodbye to the ISO series of shoes, and with it the Everun midsole, a new dawn has broken bringing with it improvements to FORMFIT and the introduction of PWRRUN+, a midsole foam claiming to be 28% lighter than its predecessor. With that, there are always going to be big hopes pinned on these shoes. The goal is by combing the foam and the carbon fiber you get a ride that really propels you to go the distance with less fatigue. Overall: B (The B score is mainly due to the fact that I feel it is just a bit too heavy. If you will be using it mainly for recovery, long distance mileage, this may be the shoe for you.)BioMoGo DNA – also adapts to runner’s profile, stride, and speed, providing a more balanced experience with a bit of spring. The shoe is a durable workhorse and is definitely one of the top in the class. I might have to coin flip between this shoe and another for my favorite stability training shoe, especially in the high cushioned category. Largely, we’re looking at what makes these traditional running shoes different to see which might be a better fit for your training.And what you see is what you get. The cut-stitched-assembled upper has a secure and protective fit. It won’t win any trophies in the interior plushness or looks department, but it gets the job done. There’s a little more to it. We loved the update, as the Kinvara came closer to the original brief– that of a firm and lightweight trainer with a low heel-to-toe offset. The Ride is focused on cushioning and support, while the Kinvara is designed for a more natural and lightweight feel. Saucony Ride 15While I wouldn’t call it bouncy after spending time in the Nike Vaporfly, I would say it’s a shoe that I absolutely turn to for longer runs. I know that my feet and legs are going to feel great from getting just the right amount of cushion without losing a lot of energy to something too plush.
