About this deal

SMA ® Anti-Reflux is nutritionally complete and contains a unique combination of starch and 100% whey, partially hydrolysed protein for the dietary management of reflux and regurgitation. Food for special medical purposes. This formula should be used under medical supervision. For most babies, GOR causes mild discomfort and can be managed at home with a few small changes to their routine. But if spitting up (reflux) happens a lot and causes your baby significant discomfort, it could be a sign that they have a more serious condition called gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD). If you think your baby has GORD, it’s important to speak to your GP. SMA ® Anti-Reflux is a nutritionally complete formula for the dietary management of babies with significant reflux (regurgitation/spitting up). It can be used as the sole source of nutrition from birth in place of your usual formula feed and can be mixed with foods once weaning has begun. This type of formula contains cows' milk proteins that have already been partly broken down (partially hydrolysed). This is supposed to make it easier to digest and help prevent digestive problems such as colic and constipation. However, there's no evidence for this. This table is a guide only; a baby may need more or less than the volumes stated. Caregivers should consult their healthcare professionals if more advice is needed. Remember, a baby should be fed on demand. Mix 1 scoop of powder to 30 ml (approx. 1 fl. oz.) of water.

Enteral feeds, Child: Less than 1 kcal/mL and less than 4 g
