About this deal

The B68 is the brand’s attempt to enter the 65% keyboard competition and is quite spectacular at that. Its minimalistic approach with utmost consideration to its end-user’s convenience through the addition of wireless connectivity through Bluetooth 5.0 is truly a bundle of joy for everyone. Tecware began almost ten years ago with a simple enthusiasm for personal computers. The company’s simple enthusiasm evolved in tandem with the current generation of desktop computers. In the ever-changing PC desktop industry, they are now pushing themselves into entering the keyboard market for the opportunity to cement their name as one of the tech giants in their industry. Outemu switches are used in the TECWARE Phantom RGB, and users can choose among Outemu blue, brown, or red switches. Users have the option of choosing between crisp and loud tactile switches, silent and smooth linear switches , or a switch that is equally balanced.

Tecware should be complimented, though, for using double-shot ABS keycaps, which are still uncommon even on keyboards twice as expensive. These keycaps are made up of two pieces of plastic that are molded together to keep the legends from fading over time. Consider, however, that ABS keycaps are not as durable as PBT keycaps. The Phantom RGB also feels great under the fingers, too. Tecware have used Outemu mechanical switches here rather than Cherry's more widely used MX switches, but in terms of overall feel I'd say the Outemu Red switches on my particular review sample (it's also available in Blue and Brown flavours) were pretty similar to your average Cherry MX Red switch.

MORE FASTER & ACCURACY - Velocifire mechanical keyboards are suitable for copywriters, programmers, editors and others who spend many hours typing every day. Type faster with improving accuracy...

Brown Switches: These are tactile switches, meaning there is a noticeable bump when the switch is activated. The RGB is underneath the keys, which are elevated up on the switches and the keys are built on a dark transparent material which really allows the light to shine through clearly. My problem with this material is that if the RGB is turned off, it's tough to tell which button is which. I mean, if you're intimately familiar with the QWERTY layout it isn't too bad, but if you aren't then the only thing you will be able to see are the alternate functions that are mostly for either the volume or to turn on the RGB. The keys are all but invisible without them. Which, lets be fair here, one of the big reasons you get an extravagent keyboard is to make it look like you're typing on a spaceship console in the distant year of 2050 so you aren't going to be turning that RGB off. of course you can replace the keycaps on ANY keyboard, but it’s nice to have some options out of the box!) Final Word: The Tecware Phantom is a well-built mechanical keyboard for the price! All of the lights can be modified on the keyboard once you figure out the instructions, which aren't exactly heiroglyphs but are pretty brief, so the manual included is less an instructional booklet and more a guided tour. It is possible to change the various modes with the keyboard software, but…well…If you’re looking to do more modding–you’ll want to pay a bit more and get an MX-style hot-swappable PCB, etc. Tecware Phantom Pricing You can only hot-swap in Outemu switches. Standard MX-style switches won’t fit in this particular keyboard! That means no putting in Cherry MX, Gateron, Kailh, or otherwise.

Several limitations of Tecware’s keyboards include limitations in the mods and customization options, limitations in the keyboard switch offerings, housing/chassis offerings. etc. Also, the design of Tecware’s keyboards will surely not be for everyone. Of course, like most brands in this price range, Tecware’s keyboards are limited to what budget keyboards can offer. Yes, they are good for the price and can easily punch way above their weight class. However, they will still not be able to compete with more premium mechanical keyboards. In comparison to other firms that offer keyboards in the same price range, such as Hyperx and Corsair, Tecware keyboards are not well-known. These are the most popular keyboard brands among professional gamers. Many casual gamers, on the other hand, have seen right through Tecware. Many keyboard reviewers think that this brand deserves to be given the same amount of attention as other companies.Gamer Network Limited, Gateway House, 28 The Quadrant, Richmond, Surrey, TW9 1DN, United Kingdom, registered under company number 03882481. The font used on the keyboard does have a cool science fiction sort of aesthetic, but it does make some of the symbols, like the ampersand, really difficult to read. Again, not much of an issue if you know your way around a keyboard, but I did have a few moments where I looked down and went "I'm hitting the right button, right…?" RGB Yes, the Tecware Phantom is good for gaming, especially if you get the Outemu Red Switch version (red switches are linear and general preferred for gaming). Todestrieb Does 7900XT still has high idle consumption on multiple monitors? And should I wait for the Supers even when I'm leaning towards AMD cards? ( 6)

I don’t think the “Outemu-only” hot-swappable thing matters for most, as this is a budget mechanical keyboard.Mechanical Keyboard - With all-Metal Panel and floating keys design, the keys of keyboard trigger sensitively, all 104 keys have individual switches with full n-key rollover You may be prompted to update your keyboard firmware upon running the software. This should take a couple of seconds. The Tecware Phantom RGB has a durable yet compact design that will last for years, thanks to an aluminum baseplate and double-shot keycaps. It also has 100% anti-ghosting technology, as well as N-key rollover , to ensure that every key hit is registered.
