About this deal

The Secret Letters is a tale about a man called Jonathan who is a cousin of Julian Mantle from The Monk who sold his Ferrari. Maybe these immaculate revelations would have had more of an impact on me as a teenager, but you would've had to get to me in early adolescence to impress me with the wonder of "think positive thoughts!", "prioritize what's important in your life!", "live in the now!", "find a purpose!", etc. etc. I love new age ideas and concepts, but Sharma just reguritates other people's wisdom and doesn't even make it interesting or unique. He even quotes himself from the book in the book! Each lesson has a summary of key ideas, actions, etc. and in each one he quotes himself, from the chapter you JUST READ, which has to earn him Douche of the Month, if not DOTYear in my opinion. The book has mass appeal and is not targeted at one specific area of the marketplace What we liked about the monk who sold his Ferrari Some people believe that making mistakes is like making irreparable dents. It’s hard to let go of negative thoughts, especially criticism.

The sages suggest a 10-step morning routine they call the Ten Rituals of Radiant Living to help you live this virtue. Some books are meant to be tasted, some are meant to chewed, some digested. While there are some rare books that not only meant to be digested but also made to be a part of the body and mind. The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari is one such book.I have always believed in people coming into your life for a reason. This book did not get into my hands accidentally; I didn't buy it in a bookstore. It was lent to me by a Lebanese friend who I consider "the cure to all my pains" here in KSA. The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari is a self-help book. It gives life essential lessons. At fifty-three, Julian realizes he has much to accomplish in life. Happiness comes from achievement, but without goal setting, you will not achieve anything. Find the purpose of your life, make goals, and write them down on a piece of paper. As I said, we thought sixty-thousand thoughts in an average day. The second virtue of the Sivana System is all about purpose. This principle is represented in the fable by the lighthouse. Ironically, under the grand laws of nature, our mind can only hold one thought at a time. By making negative thoughts your focus, you’ll embody it, or worst, manifest it. This mentality will only hinder your personal growth.

I don’t think there’s ever been an occasion during my entire reading history that I’ve ever read a book that I wish I’d read ten years prior. Sure, there have been many, many books that I have loved; that I have reread with glee; that I have bought – somewhat pointless – multiple copies of, just for the sake of it. But I don’t ever remember reading something and thinking to myself I wish I’d read this book years ago. That was until I read Robin Sharma’s The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari.

The 10 Rituals of Radiant Living.

So ask yourself again, if you would rather take each step along the way with awe and love or run through your days hoping to expedite your win towards an elusive pot of gold. Personally, I find these virtues true, yielding, and very practical. Although they may seem basic and foolish, they hold the true potential for purposeful living.

One thing came in my mind when I finished the book is that not everyone will enjoy this book and find it beneficial. Who will enjoy it and get the point of it? Only the people who believe in the ideas of the book like the power of habit, the power of positive energy, the art of self-control and the disciplined thinking and many other traits. There’s another quality to recall about the sumo wrestler in the fable. He was stark naked apart from the pink wire cable covering his privates! I cannot afford to make all the mistakes and waste my time on them. So I thought I better learn from the mistakes others made which they regret the most, well I cannot say they're real or not, most probably maybe, but I am learning some basic ways to avoid personal calamities and fix things while I can and before I make them worse.) The Ritual of Spoken Word. Write down a short mantra you can repeat to yourself throughout the day. These steps might seem simple and obvious, but what makes goals, success and destiny appear so elusive is because the pursuer has yet to arrive at self-knowledge.Unfortunately, there wasn't anything new enough here to make up for my disappointment at being jipped on the motivational biography I thought this was. The Universe favors the brave. When you resolve to lift your life to its highest level, the strength of your soul will guide you to a magical place with magnificent treasures. – Robin Sharma Depois de uma grande viagem retornamos sempre diferentes. Depois da leitura de uma grande história… também. Build your habit by taking a brave step every day towards achieving it. Remember: Baby steps are still steps; The personality development journey of both characters from the book, Julian Mantle and his best friend John, is one that Robin Sharma wrote, in poetic prose, as a guidebook to life.
