A heart-stopping, twisting, unmissable thrill-ride. The Mother kept me glued to my seat and guessing until the very end. No one does it better than T.M. But Heather has never stopped proclaiming her innocence, she is determined to discover what happened that terrible evening - even if it costs her her own life… The Catch , my fourth book, tells the story of a father who becomes convinced his daughter is about to marry a man with terrible secrets. It has also been made into a four-part TV drama starring Jason Watkins, Poppy Gilbert, Aneurin Barnard and Cathy Belton (broadcast on Channel 5 in January and February 2023, all episodes now available on My5). I really enjoyed reading this latest book by T.M Logan,so well written with strong characters with an ending I didn't see coming. Wow , and double wow . Agree with others that this book is T.M. Logans best and it is saying something to say that as they are all edge of your seat , nail biting , fantastic reads.

I write the kind of books that I love to read – tense psychological thrillers in which bad things happen to regular people – and I’m inspired by writers such as Harlan Coben, Linwood Barclay, Tana French, Michael Connelly and Lee Child. My books explore themes of loyalty and betrayal, love and hate, trust, jealousy, secrets and revenge. You wake up, your husband is dead and YOU are the prime suspect. Your children have been taken away, your life sent into freefall - and yet you can barely remember anything about the night you lost everything. His brand new novel, THE MOTHER, is a twisty, fast-paced thriller about a woman betrayed and her search for redemption against all the odds. Because if she can't discover who framed her for murder, she will never see her sons again... I have read other books recently where someone has been wrongfully imprisoned and gotten out trying to prove their innocence, and they have been a much better read than this one. I was glad that the timescale that had lapsed was only ten years, as anything longer always makes these types of stories harder to swallow. What does wind me up about these kinds of premises, though, is why wasn’t all of this investigated by the lawyers and the accused before the trial? Surely the trial wasn’t the day after she was charged, but there was a period of time when the lawyers would gather their defence. Why wasn’t all of this looked into, then? Even if Heather were on remand, she would have had a team of people helping her. No need to give a synopsis as you can read the blurb and other posts about this book , but you will be giving yourself a disservice if you don't grab a copy and get reading. The Curfew follows the events of a hot midsummer's night, when five teenagers go up to the woods to celebrate the end of exams, and only four come out... Always enjoy this authors books ( and watch the TV adaptions, new one starts tonight ) but got to say outright this is my favourite of his ( and surely a TV Series will follow in the future for this one too ) An irresistible new thriller . . . Logan has devised an intricate plot of shifting loyalties and duelling timelines, but the real triumph in The Mother is that fierce, flawed title character. She's a mother like no other." - A J Finn

A couple of this author's novels have already been adapted and brought to the screen and I would be amazed if "The Mother" doesn't follow suit. This would definitely make for a very watchable mini-series, but in the meantime it also makes a wonderfully readable and riveting novel. The novel builds well, situations escalate, discoveries are made but wherein lies the truth? I can honestly say I do NOT see that coming as the twists and turns come rapidly towards the very unexpected end.But Kate has a secret: her husband is having an affair. And a week away might just be the perfect opportunity to get the proof she needs - to catch him in the act once and for all. Because she suspects the other woman is one of her three best friends. I live in Nottinghamshire with my wife and two children, and write in a cabin at the bottom of my garden. A true single-sitting read, The Mother is the best yet from the master of the heartbreaking, heart-pounding, head-spinning thriller' Ellery Lloyd, author of PEOPLE LIKE HER Through the protagonist Heather, the author touches upon a sensitive issue... that of an ex convict trying to face a new reality after she has lost everything! A tense and compelling thriller that demands to be read in one sitting, with a final twist that will make you gasp . . . Logan belongs in the top echelons of British thriller writers' Sunday Express

Ten years later you are released from prison. What do you do? Do you accept your fate, your conviction and leave your children to be raised by someone else? What I loved about this book was it got going right from the start, it began and ended in a way I didn’t expect, there were plenty of twists and turns to keep the reader guessing from start to finish, I thought the characters were great and I loved the plot. Joe Lynch is just an ordinary happily-married man - until one split-second decision throws his life into crisis.
