About this deal

Liz runs a catering company in Salcombe, but following the death of her business partner and best friend Jen, she has rather fall out of love with the business. When her two god-daughters and half sisters Clare and Skye both come to spend the summer with her they find themselves all pulling together to save Liz’s business - and along the way they form bonds and support each other to confront the secrets they are hiding and the issues each of them are dealing with in their lives. Yes, but you will need to make each pledge separately. It takes a little longer, but it's worth it! And finally … My weekly readers would really love to see a short story from you in the magazine. Any chance of writing one for us when you’ve time to draw breath … I am a great reader of human nature and that certainly helps. I also realised quite early on that we all have the same feelings and reactions in our emotional toolkit, so I simply place myself in my characters shoes and write about how I would feel.

Coming Up With “The Big Idea” - My Weekly Coming Up With “The Big Idea” - My Weekly

Beautifully written and richly layered with characters that feel like firm friends, it’s full of Cathy’s wonderful warmth, wisdom and wit’ Alex Brown In the future, we'd love to open a pop-up store at festivals and markets. Imagine a treasure trove of essentials, goodies and gifts. While we keep our fingers crossed for 2021, we're focusing on treat boxes in the meantime.I really, really enjoyed this. I can’t recommend it enough - you will finish it with the biggest smile on your face and maybe even a little tear! Sunrise Sisterhood is a social enterprise created to shine a light on the women who inspire us.* It's our mission to cultivate connections through shared experiences, celebrating each other's successes and providing encouragement through challenges. We do this through these three core focuses: It was great to see them open up to each other eventually and to see how the storylines came together to a beautiful and satisfying conclusion. However, half-sisters Skye and Clare couldn't be more different, struggling with family secrets and hidden jealousies. As the women navigate this unexpected summer together, truths are revealed and their relationships are put to the test. These terms and conditions apply to all competitions (unless and to the extent that) the competition states otherwise.

The Sunrise Sisterhood: The perfect uplifting and joyful book The Sunrise Sisterhood: The perfect uplifting and joyful book

I really did. I didn’t fully understand the nature of the illness or the impact it has on families until I started speaking to sufferers. There are several stories that will stay with me and haunt me now. One in particular was a mum about my age, who was utterly desperate and who broke down when she told me that her daughter chose starvation every day, and no amount of love or guidance could sway her from the path she was on. Here, Louise Dean, author and founder of The Novelry, the online writing school recommended by leading literary agents, gets us thinking about what these “Big Ideas” are and where they come from – and speaks to four bestselling authors about how they got their “Big Idea”. The key to success You’ve written more than a dozen books in just five years. Can you tell us how you got started, please? You’re on record as saying you’ve had food issues over the years. Do you identify with Lexi? Or do you identify more with Freya? You seem to understand them both so well. Liz meets up with Jen’s ex-husband Mike on what would have been Jen’s birthday. She’s given news that means she’ll have to get the catering business up and running again. Mike offers the opportunity for Skye to help her out for the summer, but Liz is wary at first. With Clare and Ivy staying for the summer and no love lost between Clare and Skye, it could cause more problems than it solves. Liz believes Mike when he promises to smooth it over. You don’t need to be a genius. Writing is not something you are born with or can or can’t do. It’s something you learn, because you want to learn it.

Can the business be saved? Will the two sisters manage to heal from the past, lay old ghosts to rest and forge forward into the future? Or will this summer leave them with no other option but to each go their separate ways? This book centres around three women, Liz and her two god-daughters, Clare and Skye. All the women are different in personalities as well as having something going on in their lives that they are hiding. The story is set in an idyllic location which had me wishing I could transport myself to see the wonderful places and scenery that were being described as they were so picturesque. We've launched our online store! Can we get a woop woop?! You can now visit our online store at sunrisesisterhood.com and treat yourself. By the end of summer relationships will change – some will grow, some will wither. But what a lot of adventures the women have to go through first. The idea came to me after a minor procedure in hospital. Just as I was about to be put under general anaesthesia, I realised that I didn’t know anyone in the room – I was trusting strangers with my welfare entirely. Thankfully, the medical team were nothing but professional! But the idea had been sewn, and after the sedation wore off, I began scribbling my notes from my hospital bed, wondering to myself just how iron-clad a surgeon’s oath is, and what it would take to break it.”For female creatives, makers and entrepreneurs, there is so much we can gain by supporting one another. Our treat boxes will enable female-led businesses to showcase their products alongside other complimentary brands. With an emphasis on sustainability and social impact, these boxes will make ideal gifts or self-care treats. The Idea of You is the story of a woman’s quest to become a mother later in life and what happens when her dream of motherhood seems to be slipping through her fingers in a race against time. It questions the very nature of motherhood and explores the meaning of ‘having it all’ for the modern woman. Keen to discover the inspiration behind this powerful, moving story, I spoke to Amanda about the novel, just as it reached No. 1 in the Kindle charts. Boys, we know this is probably feeling less relevant to you right now, but we also know you care about the women in your life, so please keep reading. I think the exploration of grief was first class. Grief isn't necessarily all sitting and weeping. It can be feeling like you're lost, you depend on other things such as alcohol or drugs, you're angry, you snap at the people you love, etc. It's nice to see grief explored like this, and explored through different people. We see how the loss of Jen affects her daughter, her step-daughter, her friends, and her clients. I also loved that Jen was ever present in the book, just as she is ever present in the characters' lives.
