About this deal

Savoy Blue is a bright, rich blue color that was historically associated with the House of Savoy, a ruling dynasty in what is today Italy. While the House of Savoy was officially deposed in 1946, the color remains as a reminder of Italy’s rich monarchic heritage. As the name would suggest, Vivid Sky Blue is very similar to Sky Blue, but a little bit more, well, vivid. The bright tones of this particular color remind us of a brilliantly sunny late October sky without a single cloud in sight. Non-photo blue is a pale shade of light blue that is commonly used by graphic artists, traditional artists, and layout editors for one simple reason: it doesn’t show up on most camera films. As a result, it can be used to make edits which will virtually disappear once photographed. Sky blue is often referred to as light blue, baby blue, or even angle blue. Sky blue is used in a variety of modern-day applications, ranging from being used in historical atlases to color code Germany and being used in Western culture to represent boys (though historically this color was used in the past to represent girls). Sky blue is also used for the national flags of various nations such as Argentina, the Bahamas, Botswana, Fiji, and more.

writing masterfully created a world of art, color and light; I could perfectly see paintings, imagine Laurelton Hall and the way the sun shone through the stained glass windows. The mystery was well crafted with a slow reveal of Jenny's past, who was torturing her with that knowledge in the present and stolen Tiffany jewels. The Jazz Age was also brought alive in speakeasies, bootleggers, the grandeur of Laurelton Hall and the spiritualism that so many people believed in. Overall, an engaging and fascinating mystery that brings together history, mystery, art and spiritualism. What it's about: It is New York in the 1920s. Prohibition is in full swing, it's the Jazz Age, and Louis Comfort Tiffany has created an artists colony at his Laurelton Hall estate in Long Island. Jenny Bell is 24 and is selected to go to Laurelton Hall for a shot at winning a spot in Tiffany’s New York gallery at the end of the 8 week experience. Jenny goes with her best friend Minx Deering who she lives with, and falls in love with the beautiful estate. She also ends up being drawn to Tiffany’s grandson Oliver. But Jenny has had a painful past that she is determined to hide from everyone around her; and when she gets to Laurelton Hall she finds out someone knows about her past and is determined to expose her. TIFFANY BLUES by M.J. Rose is a unique romantic mystery that reads as if seen through a dark veil, emotionally taut and bittersweet as the past, present and future collide like frenzied brushstrokes on the canvas of one young woman’s life. Entrancing reading from beginning to a powerhouse of an ending. Liberty Blue, much like Independence Blue, is a deep blue color with cold undertones and an almost steely finish. Liberty Blue, however, is most often used to decorate plates, cups, and other decorative earthenware for a stark blue and white finished product. To learn more about the real-life Louis Comfort Tiffany and his works, visit the Morse Museum in Florida. YInMn Blue was discovered in 2009 and is a vibrant blue produced naturally by the combination of yttrium, indium, and manganese. The color doesn’t fade over time and is safer than other natural pigments. We also see how she continues to improve her skills as she is accepted into the art school at Laurelton Hall owned by Louis Comfort Tiffany - a school that changed her life.

Jenny moved to New York after her mother died and enrolled in art school, but she couldn’t accept the talent she had as her friend Minx pushed her forward and as Jenny protested. Egyptian blue is a pigment of blue that was primarily used in ancient Egypt for thousands of years. It’s a synthetic pigment that was also introduced to the Romans at some point in time, but soon fell out of use after the Roman era. The manner in which Egyptian blue was produced has been lost to history. Was it bad enough to have to sidestep questions about it and fear that others were looking into her past? Historically, Maya blue was recorded to have first appeared in the 800s and was still used up to the 1500s in several convents located in Colonial Mexico, where Maya blue was mainly used in paintings.I felt as if I’d stepped inside a jewelry box. Everything shone and sparkled and glowed in gemstone shades Ice, essentially the solid or mineral form of water, doesn’t automatically have any real color to it. Thanks to its highly reflective nature, however, what we consider to be Ice Blue is usually closer to Sky Blue. Glaucous Blue takes its name from the Latin glaucus, which means grayish blueor gray. This color is most often used to describe various sea creatures, including the feathers of various sea birds or some terrestrial plants. The true experimentation of Folie a Deux begins with “Tiffany Blews”, which features some significant adjustments to Fall Out Boy’s typical sound. The bass-heavy song intro contains soulful contributions from Stump before he launches into a series of metaphors. Rap superstar Lil Wayne sings the bridge to cement the experimental ambience of the song. BAND COMMENTARY Technically a member of the green color family, Aero Blue looks more like a very pale shade of teal. This color tends to be used for a lot of health marketing and environmentally friendly advertising movement thanks to its soft, greenish blue hue.

Reader Reviews

As the summer shimmers on, and the competition between the artists grows fierce as they vie for a spot at Tiffany's New York gallery, a series of suspicious and disturbing occurrences suggest someone knows enough about Jenny's childhood trauma to expose her.

I received a copy of this book from BookishFirst in exchange for an honest review. Thank you so much! Richard is an odd fellow. He seems to truly care for Minx and she is enthralled with him and yet Jenny feels something isn’t right with him and the way he treats Minx once they are at Laurelton.New York, 1924. Twenty‑four‑year‑old Jenny Bell is one of a dozen burgeoning artists invited to Louis Comfort Tiffany’s prestigious artists colony. Supported by her closest friend, Minx Deering, a seemingly carefree socialite who is nevertheless a dedicated sculptor, Jenny vows to avoid distractions and romantic entanglements and take full advantage of the many wonders to be found at Laurelton Hall. If you’ve ever seen a violet in nature, you know violets are usually closer to purple. In the 1700s and 1800s, however, the word “violet” was often used to describe objects that we would consider blue today, and so this dark blue color is violet. A dozen of us from Professor Robert Pannell's class at the Art Students League of New York had scattered around the pond, preparing to spend the afternoon painting en plein air in the tradition of the impressionists. We'd walked from the school on West Fifty-seventh Street north into the park and then continued along manicured pathways into this untamed, romantic area. Electric blue is a hue of blue in which the defining characteristics of it varies. It’s a color that represents the bright glow of lightning and electric sparks, as well as the color of ionized argon gas. Electric blue originally got its name due to ionized air glow that is produced during electrical discharges. This definition has changed over the years to include blues that have an “electric” appearance due to their intense and vibrant looks. In popular culture, electric blue is associated with the star sign Aquarius.
