There isn't anything new here but more going through what he's said in the past and his fights. I would've liked to know much about the person and his mental health struggles. This book not only shares his childhood, upbringing, amateur boxing, professional career and behind the scenes that we don't see.The fights – however dangerous – are the fun bit for Fury, offering rare absorption and a chance to show off preternatural gifts, a place of calm for a man who can’t be idle. He is learning how to live without the sport which has defined him. “When I leave there’s bound to be a void,” he writes, referring to the fighters who’ll be left when he bows out, with “not a personality between them”. But he might say the same of his life post-boxing, too. A scholar of the game, he knows quitting may prove his toughest challenge of all. What an absolute legend this guy is. He's hilarious, hard working, honest and just a genuine person. He showed not only his battles within the ring but outside of it too. Such honesty about Mental Health is desperately needed in todays world and hearing it from the heavy weight champion of the world is sure to help rid the stigma surrounding it. Especially the need to talk it about which Tyson echoes in his book. This empowerment is so influential and helpful for so many people old or young.

much better than I thought. reasonably well detailed, the main character's voice is obvious and strong, and the mental health awareness information is presented better than in 99% of such accounts. fury is a likable showman, oddball past comments aside, and the book's a worthwhile and fast read, especially in light of the drubbing he just gave deontay wilder. The book doesn't delve too deeply into any one topic, especially Tyson's personal life. After starting off with his win over Deonte Wilder to recapture the heavyweight title in February 2020, the reader will learn a little about Fury's upbringing, his rise in boxing in the British and Irish theatres and his eventual success in obtaining the title. Along the way, Fury had many ups and downs. Some of these were unforeseen circumstances, some of them were of his own making. These are not covered in depth throughout the book, simply captured in the text. Having little knowledge about Fury or his career, I was hoping for a deeper dive into his career and his life, but this was a decent introduction to the man. Readers who have followed his career closely or are passionate boxing fans of the current state of the sport will most likely know all of this information already. It's an incredible story about his whole career where he started, how he started and who was there for him throughout. It also gives us an insight to his personal life with wife Paris (who I also love) and the heart break of miscarriages and marriage troubles. And most importantly about his depression and how he's come out the other end.
