About this deal

Is there such a thing as too much blood in Warhammer? NAH! You just need the right ratio with skulls. No, that isn’t a Flesh Hound – the Hound of Wrath is simply a warrior who really, really wishes he were one, and his seven companions are entirely happy to let him do his thing. If wanton slaughter and rivers of blood are the way you roll, the Claws of Karanak are for you.

The sets are kinda modular. Whilst the guide suggested glueing these 2 components together. I opted to leave them separate (much like the other tree). So that I still have the option to use them as a combined piece or 2 separate elements on the Battlefield Again, fantastic sculpts here with some of the nicest detail I’ve seen, GW keeps upping the bar and it’s in models and poses like this which keep them at the top of their field. Pokin Snark has taken his Pokin’ Spear and upgraded it with a bitey Squig. He’s actually up to 4 average damage versus T4, so obviously it’s working. A normal stabba will do 2 damage on average, and Pokin Snark is almost the cost of 2 gitz with Stabbas, so keep that in mind. On the plus side, you do get the Looncourt runemark and he is still slightly cheaper than the two gitz you’d need to do the same damage. There are still things I can do. That yellow on the Khorne guys would be a fantastic start of NMM which could be achieved with some gradual passes of Snakebite leather contrast and highlighted with a white. I could also add some more effects to this with gore and stuff, It is Bloodhunt after all.

In this video we’re going to look in depth at the two warbands. These are the Askurgan Trueblades and the Claws of Karanak ERROR – This should be called an Askurgan Exemplar, not a Templar! The triple is also Magistorial Poise not Pulse. The releases for Warcry have been crazy this week. We’ve just got the full details for the new Bloodhunt box set, I’m still only half way through the Underworlds fighters from the recent FAQ, and now we’ve got the new rules for Grinkrak’s Looncourt from the new White Dwarf. Not all Trueblades, however, can resist the feral urges they repress. The Cursebloods are vampires who have lost the battle against their baser instincts, transforming into beasts which transfix enemies with a Terrifying Howl . All in all, this warband is a lot of fun. The costing is pretty tight and I definitely approve of the slight cost increase for the extra abilities. Snorbo and the pair of Skolko and Pronk offer some new profiles, and Snorbo in particular is probably a must have for any gitz warband from now on. If you like playing Gobbos in Warcry, this warband and White Dwarf 485 is a must buy as you get all the rules and the cards you need for the warband.

No drama at all in building these. and the design is so great that there was nary a seem to fill or mould line to remove. Askurgan Trueblades The scales of the Chameleon Skinks shimmer blue to blend into the celestial skies as their Terrawing allies answer their war call. In lieu of a playtesting guide (since I don’t have the core book or time… or friends) I wanted to give a brief on how I approached painting these. Apart from the Abhorrent Ghoul King, I hadn’t painted any Death units since the Sepulchral Guard so it was great use these an excuse to paint some more and I’m really happy how they came out. You can read my thoughts on how the warband plays in this link here. Two fighters do not have the Elite runemark, so they don’t get to use the reaction or the quad. These are the Askurgan Pariah a Vampire who was a Trueblade who failed in their vows but has now returned and is attempting to make penance. The model has the cutest little bat buddy which makes everything worthwhile. This fighter is almost mid way between the Ascetic and the Acolyte. He loses the runemarks and is almost the same as the Acolyte with Bonehilt Falchion but with 8 more wounds for 15 points. So all in all, I wish these were higher quality. but feel free to correct me if I’m just misremembering. Gnarlwood Scenery – 10 pieces of plastic terrain, fully compatible with existing Gnarlwood scenery kits, including 2x Fortified Gnarloaks with ladders, 2x Fortified Platforms, 2x Rope Bridges, and 5x Obstacles such as shattered ruins, palisades, bones, and broken posts Khorne doesn’t have a monopoly on things in this vein. There are plenty of bloody things all over the Age of Sigmar, giving rise to the question – who’s the bloodiest?” Bloodhunt Warband Teaser The legendary Gotrek’s adventures continue in Blightslayer by Richard Strachan, as the duardin Slayer saves a blasphemous warrior-priest from the gallows and earns a life-debt he neither wants nor needs. Nevertheless, Amara Fidellus is determined to return the favour, and the pair soon find themselves caught up in a sorcerous plot that – should it succeed – would plunge the Mortal Realms into the hellscape of Nurgle’s Garden. In all, Nightmare Quest is another solid entry into the Ghurish Warcry arc. The contents of the set are predictable, albeit retain the excellent quality you expect from GW products, but it is the miniatures that carry this one.
