About this deal

This one doesn't have *all* the poems I loved from the original book. It's not that the original book was my favorite and best book ever--it wasn't. Between Milne's two poetry books, I found a dozen poems (perhaps a few more) to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. Poems that really became a part of my childhood. The rest, well, the rest just were... I'm only saying all this to say, I feel like this book really is from a different era and I don't know that many people can relate to it anymore. I have read Book 1 and 2 in this series and I loved them, but this seemed unlike the other gems. This seemed antiquated to me. I didn't think the prose were consistently very good either. It could be clunky. These beloved poems were first published in 1924 by A. A. Milne. He is the originator of Winnie-the-Pooh which is also a classic. His collection of poems are the most familiar and treasured works in children's literature. He created the poems for his three-year-old son, Christopher Robin, and thousands of children have read or sung these poems over the years.

When I was 3 or 4, I recited this poem to the Bayridge Business and Professional Women's bridge club. My aunt and godmother, Margaret Desmond, was hosting them at my grandparents' house in...My Mum recently passed away. This is a poem she learnt from her Mum, she used to sing to me and I know she was teaching it to my niece. I now have the words so that I can keep the memory and the tradition. Makes me cry, but with happiness.

The Christopher Robin Story Book from 'when We Were Very Young', 'now We Are Six', 'winnie-The-Pooh', and 'the House At Pooh Corner' deaurider, David Wilson and the Online Distributed Proofreading Team at https: //www.pgdp.net (This file was produced from images generously made available by The Internet Archive) I wasn't a huge fan of the poems, actually, so that really made the reading a bit tough to enjoy. I also wasn't completely enamored with the illustrations. They were well done, don't get me wrong, they just weren't my style or something that really appealed to me.
