About this deal

An opportunity for players to experience the journey of a WWE Superstar from the humble beginnings of a Rookie, followed by the fanfare as a Superstar, and then immortalized as a Legend. Wrestling games though can be good, very good. I have played some good ones. From Arcade to consoles....Not played a modern wrestling game since No Mercy on the N64.... As a non-USA resident, we don't have much with this show wrestling. It's not aired on TV over here or anything. But i always liked the look of it. You cant play MyFaction forever, the servers will be shut down like 2k22s are this year (supposedly). Hence why im getting my online trophies done now lol

See the dedicated article for everything you need to know on WWE 2K22 MyFACTION. MyRISE (Career Mode) Yeah definitely I'm curious how well the WWF no mercy guys can translate that old school gameplay to modern times and AEW has the roster to pull it off. WWE 2K22 is the return to form the WWE 2K series has desperately needed. Skipping 2K21 and delaying the release by five months may have caused the roster to be largely outdated, but the game is stable, plays great, and is practically bursting at the seams with content. An excellent Rey Mysterio Showcase really bolsters the experience, and every other mode (perhaps with the exception of MyFaction) sets a strong foundation for WWE games to come. Ahh, that’s really crappy of them. I was looking forward to giving this a go but this is a bit of an annoyance.Looking good, spotted the warrior and macho man and as long as there's plenty of 'classic' characters this will likely be day one for me WWE 2K22 is a 2022 professional wrestling sports video game developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K. It is the twenty-second overall installment of the video game series based on WWE, the ninth game under the WWE 2K banner, [1] [2] [3] and the successor to 2019's WWE 2K20. [4] It was released on March 11, 2022, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. [5] The follow-up title, WWE 2K23, was released on March 14, 2023.

It's due to Sony's odd choice of having separate "versions" of the game that there's a decision for the publisher to make at all, though. I feel like “next gen” is all about what version you’re getting, more expensive games, and faster load times. Are we all getting bamboozled? This ain't an issue for me as its still considered a new game that can still go for full price and getting it through PS plus which is peanuts compared to paying full price. I mean how different are the two versions really. Probably a tiny bit smoother looking on the eye compared to the PS4 version which probably requires you to put your eyeballs super close to the tv to see a difference. I doubt having a bit more smoother fps will make much of a difference in a wrestling scrap and having slower load times is such a tiny nuisance given the game is almost free in comparison to buying it normally

Is WWE 2K22 Coming To PS5 And PS4?

But there are pros and cons to each. There are certainly some merits to having separate versions of the game too. However, other features from years ago such asCreate A Finisher and Create A Story will not be making a return this year. Cooper, Dalton (August 12, 2021). I'm not sure it's an 'ODD' choice, as it's the way gaming has always worked outside of PC. It's just Microsoft decided to go the PC route. See our dedicated guide with the full details and features of WWE 2K22 MyGM Mode. WWE 2K22 New Gameplay & Controls Regardless of whether there’s much upgrade to be had on the ps5 version … I just find this unfathomable. It turns getting a recent big name title added to extra into bad PR. I just find it very irritating all told.Is it just me or is understanding the different tiers of pS+ and which games work and are last gen vs this gen completely confusing? I dislike to be that one guy, but the War Games format was used orginally starting in the late 80's (I think '87 or so) until the late 90's. Thanks Ben, great review! Wish I still had the time to sink the same hours into these games I used to - whole evenings and afternoons lost to fine tuning CAWs This year’s flagship mode is the John Cena Showcase. Here, much like with Rey Mysterio’s run last year, the spotlight is shone on the 16-time world champion’s 20-year career in WWE. The man himself is on hand to talk you through encounters with some of his greatest rivals, with you then playing through these matches, completing objectives in line with real events as archive footage melds with in-game animation. In an interesting twist, you don’t actually play as Mr Cena, instead taking on the role of the big names that’ve manage to upset him over the years. That said, when I remote play I stream from my PS4 instead of 5 so I don't put wear and tear on it for brief sessions, end the whole version thing is so freaking painful. And the issues with saves is as bad as it just not running at all. Add in the games, that have really messy upgrade issues and I definitely dislike, as a digital buyer, how is handled compared to MS.

Professional wrestling is really an unappreciated artform, the skill & craft it takes to pull off the things they do every week, live in front of thousands in person & millions on TV, with little margin for error is impressive to me. A lot of people don't like it simply because they either don't get it or they got fooled into thinking it was real as children & now resent it. It's complete gaga fun. It's not serious, it's like if superheroes existed in real life. I enjoy it for what it is, which is some very talented & capable athletes doing ridiculously fun & athletic & daredevilish things to entertain me. I love it & have no shame in that. People are coming around to it nowadays when they open up to the idea of liking something that's so nerdy to admit you enjoy. It's really simply just fun if you let go of these notions of it being "fake." You don't ***** talk a movie or TV show for being fake, so I never understood the reasoning for holding it against professional wrestling. New control changes in WWE 2K22 include different inputs to execute strikes and grapples, as well as a new Combo System and different inputs to perform finishers and signatures. Man I’d love a build like that featuring actual characters; of yesteryear. Er… century. Yestercentury 😟

WWE 2K22: It Hits Different

Several MyRise exclusive superstars, along with additional new create-a-superstar parts, were added as another free DLC through the 1.12 patch. These included: Alexa Bliss from 2020, Dominik Dijakovic, King Booker, King Corbin, pre-A.S.H. Nikki Cross, Shawn Michaels from 2018, and pre-King Shinsuke Nakamura. The news of the PS4 version at least was revealed earlier this year in April, with a short teaser trailer that actually showed off some gameplay, though it made sure to clarify that everything we were seeing is from a very early build of the game.
