Cooling is directly proportional to Delta T ... and Delta T is always, and irrefutably large with ambient air than inside a enclosure generating 500, 600, 700 watts of heat. Still, we'd suggest you ideally add fans to the bottom mount, the side mount, or both. The Lian Li is, after all, designed to hold up to three large radiators. In terms of voltage-regulator temperature, the O11D EVO again barely trails the fan-equipped gaming cases... Fans move air thru the radiation and the rate of heat removal is proportional to Delta T; so what does the math tell us ?
The O11 Dynamic is a great PC chassis with tons of room around to work around. However, it has a limitation of the exhaust due to the absence of a rear fan mount making it a bit harder for those who are going to use a CPU air cooling solution, furthermore, the O11 dynamic has a limitation of 120mm fans everywhere except for that of the top, which could optionally fit two 140mm. However, the O11 Dynamic XL does offer a dedicated rear exhaust fan alongside the option to have room for 140mm fans both at the top and bottom. GPU temperature testing: Unigine Heaven set to Ultra Detail, Extreme Tesselation, and 8x Anti Aliasing at 1440p for 30 minutes. The right part of the front includes an I/O panel with a USB 3.1 Type-C port, two USB 3.0 ports and both obligatory audio ports. Two additional USB 3.0 ports are located on the lower right part of the front section. In between the I/O panel and the tempered glass panel lies an attractive RGB-LED strip that stretches from top to bottom - the lighting of which can be controlled by means of two switches on the front panel. Moving to the left is where things are quite interesting. By default, there is a standard ATX PSU opening at the bottom, while there are two covers above this which have dual HDD hot-swap caddies below the cover. If you chose to go air cooling the maximum height is 167mm, so you should be fine there and 446mm GPU length, so, yea, I would say you can virtually fit anything in here. The Hardware Installation: Expect Limitless Permutations
The glass side of the O11D EVO is slightly quieter than the Cooler Master's, while the vented side is slightly noisier. Both fall within earshot of the quiet-design Seta Q1, while the Corsair gets penalized for having more powerful fans than either the HAF 500 or Seta Q1. Now, if you prefer your motherboard to face right instead of left, the bottom panel can be removed and swapped with the top panel. One gripe is that the bottom panel's dust filter is the only one in the system and, being held in place with magnetic strips at its edges, is prone to falling off during handling. In this area, you'll also note additional square holes near two corners that allow the front-panel module to be relocated to either side. The final two accessories are PCIe riser cables for alternative orientations for your graphics card. Flexible Hardware The O11D EVO provides far too many mounting options to list in a simple features table. For example, Lian Li states that the bottom of the case can hold four 2.5-inch or two 3.5-inch drives; the side can hold four 2.5-inch or two 3.5-inch drives; the drive cage can hold three 2.5-inch or two 3.5-inch plus one 2.5-inch drive; and the cable-management bar can host two 2.5-inch drives—and that's before we start subtracting for the potential installation of a second power supply or side/bottom radiators. The actual limit stated by Lian Li is dictated by the number of screws and grommets included in the installation kit. The main chamber can house the motherboard along with the GPU and your cooling components. The case is targeted towards water cooling and it would be a delight for the water cooler lovers with ample rooms to play around.

Since it's designed to be equipped with the user's choice of hardware, including fans, the Lian Li 011D EVO presented a slight testing challenge in terms of comparing it to cases delivered with a loadout of their own fans. It overcame that challenge by flowing sufficient air in "exhaust only" mode using nothing more than the same closed-loop cooler that we'd used to evaluate those other cases. The Lian Li O11Dynamic XL Full-Tower offers a tonne of space for powerful gaming hardware. Even the huge ROG Dominus Extreme EEB motherboard from Asus can be installed with the help of an additional accessory from Lian Li. Graphics cards can be up to 446 mm in length, with CPU coolers up to a height of 167 mm also fitting. An ATX form factor power supply can be installed in an upright orientation in the left side of the rear, power supplies up to 210 mm in length will fit. The quiet Seta Q1 is at a disadvantage here, since we chose to front-mount our cooler to keep that case's top-panel noise baffle in place (in keeping with the purpose of that case).However, the best thing that I am in love with this case is the side panel mechanism where there are no visible screws to mount the glass panel. All the mounting procedure is worked in the top and then is covered by the top panel that again comes with captive thumbscrews. Exterior Overall, maybe we're overthinking it. The O11D EVO's prime customers are show-system builders who regularly blow their PCs out with compressed air. You could possibly boost the case's practicality by using higher-flow fans on the bottom or ignoring the side radiator mount, but, after all, we're looking at a case that can support more drives than most people own. For builders who use the side drive mount instead of radiators, this chassis could be the best of both "show-off" and "storage."
