About this deal

Key attributes: Very light, design enables one-handed drinking, wide mouth for easy filling and cleaning.

The Okadi is a 2.5L flask which offers extremely good capacity for both family and group adventures. It is fabricated from stainless steel which gives excellent core strength and durability. This thermos will last for a long period of time indeed. Other useful design features to look for include a wide mouth, which makes for easier cleaning and filling (especially if you want to add ice cubes to your flask). In addition, many larger flasks incorporate ‘twist and pour’ spouts, so you can pour from the flask without having to completely remove the stopper. An integrated cup is also useful. Smaller flasks often feature lid designs that allow on-the-go swigging or one-handed operation. The heat retention capacity of the flask is exceptional. You will certainly be impressed with both the hot and cold performance. We were able to keep some tomato soup warm for 24 hours and on another occasion, some chilled orange squash remained cold after 36 hours. This is definitely enough for an overnight wild camping trip if you can handle the weight.

Lifeventure TiV 700 Vacuum Flask

The GSI employs a thin but reliable stainless steel wall that reduces the weight and also increases the internal space of the bottle. According to GSI, you can store 25% more liquid than any other flask for the same size.

Button-operated lids are more efficient to use than twist-and-pour stoppers – we found the button-operated lids to be more secure than the twist-and-pour stoppers. The original and, judging from the results of our temperature test, still the best. This stainless steel flask is very durable, with a silicone base to protect against dents. The two-part stopper closes securely yet pours easily and has an integrated cup. In terms of outright heat-holding performance for up to 8 hours, nothing can touch the Ultimate Series. It was the best-performing flask we tested overall. It is relatively lightweight too. And if you’re concerned that the 500ml capacity will be too small, it’s worth noting that Thermos also makes a larger 900ml version. Full Specifications

We dropped each flask five times from 90cm to mimic a dropped flask. Those with large dents that inhibited function or ability were rated low. Some thermos flasks are designed to be handily-sized for solo use on hikes and outdoor adventures. Others are larger for bigger groups or car and campervan travel. Choose wisely, or get a couple for different activities. Available in a range of colours (we like the electric blue), the flask is highly suitable for camping trips and general travelling refreshments. Pouring is very easy due to the superb flexible handle fabricated from silicone.

Stanley Classic 25oz Bottle

You should carefully consider the required capacity of your flask before buying one. Have a think about how many people will require a drink from it, and who will be the person carrying it around. Is it for home use (some people take a flask to their home office in the garden), or carrying on a walk for rest and recuperation? Heat and cold retention is exemplary, with the Thermos lasting well over 24 hours for both. We found that it is particularly effective for cold drinks, with ice cubes still being solid after a 30 hour test we performed. Thermos have obviously squeezed out all routes for heat to get into the inner chamber of the flask. The flask has a BPA-free cup with enough space for several decent-sized cups of teas. The cup also helps ensure the flask remains leak proof. When single-use plastics started getting a bad rap, S’well became the drinks bottle of choice for a host of celebrities and ‘influencers’. But they’re not all style over substance – the design consists of a triple-walled construction incorporating a copper layer for improved insulation. This flask is lightweight and practical – the ergonomic shape makes it easy to hold, the really wide mouth makes for easy drinking, filling and cleaning, and the grooved lid makes it easy to open, even if screwed on tightly. It’s sure to draw admiring glances if you leave it on your desk at the office. It’s just a shame that the capacity is a bit small, and it’s relatively expensive for a little flask. Full Specifications This thermos flask is made of a combination of Stainless Steel, Polypropylene and Silicone, and the dimensions are an excellent 21.1 x 12 x 9.1 cm. It is sized extraordinarily well for solo hikers who are concerned about size and weight but still wish to carry a hot brew around to warm up with. In our opinion this is one of the best thermos flasks on the market today.

Warranty: We always suggest buying a vacuum flask from a manufacturer who will offer a warranty of at least one year, and preferably more. A warranty acts as a safeguard for your flask against unexpected defects, and ensures that you won’t have to buy again if something goes wrong. If you’re planning on spending a wodge of cash on a flask, then go for the one with the warranty. S’well Roamer 64oz Flask

Thermos should just rename their 1 litre ‘Light and Compact’ vacuum flask as “The Daddy” because it effortlessly delivers everything you would expect from the company who developed the vacuum flask as we know it today from Sir James Dewar’s original prototype in 1904. The Stanley 18-8 flask is the best option for a solo user in our opinion. It is a great performer which looks superbly rugged for your next arctic exploration and goes about its job efficiently, discreetly and expertly.
