About this deal

The double sheared silver coloured cable, constructed of an inner core of single crystal copper and silver-plated single crystal copper and an outer layer of silver foil, looks stunning to say the least. The cable has some weight but not uncomfortable. The lower midrange of the Timeless AE is shown with an efficient sense of body and depth when I have listen to vocals or to instruments such like violas, acoustic guitars and pianos. Male voices such like Dave Gahan, Eric Clapton and Sting are reproduced with adequate weight and fullness. There are five vents on the inner faceplate: four near the channel markings and one beside the nozzle. Speaking of the nozzle, the 5mm diameter is larger than average and the mesh can be replaced if it gets clogged. The nozzle filter can be replaced. Comfort The Timeless AE Edition is another great sounding Planar IEM of the company that continues the legacy of the Original Timeless with some slightly but audible improvements especially in the lows and the highs. When you are a fan of the Original Timeless but did wish some extra depth, impact and rumble in the lows and some additional airiness and sparkle in the highs, the Timeless AE edition with its new modular headphone plug design and 2-Pin interface will be a good choice. However, recommend the new AE Edition more to those who didn’t already owned the previous model and are in search for a new Planar IEM. The midbass region of the 7HZ Timeless AE is nicely textured, tight and impactful along with a good level of clarity, speed and authority when I do listen to songs like Charly Antolini’s “Duwadjuwandadu” or Gogo Penguin’s “Murmuration”. Instruments like toms, snare drums and bass guitars are produced with an excellent grade of roundness and fullness.

YMMV, as treble perception is not uniform; it is dependent on hearing health/ age, volume played at ( Fletcher Munson curve), ear anatomy ( pinna gain), sources, and ear tips. Even though the S12 Pro are not the most comfortable pair, I actually had more fit issues with the Timeless. Considering that the Timeless are also more expensive, I would choose the S12 Pro between the two. Vs Tangzu Audio Zetian WuThe Timeless AE offers a quite exiting subbass response that produces a decent sense of rumble, extension and decay while listen to songs like Rok Nardin’s “Berserks”, Bear McCreary’s “Valkyries (God of War OST)” and Lorde’s “Royals”. Like most of their planar brethren, the S12 Pro do have a somewhat unnatural timbre for acoustic instruments (especially when compared to single DD transducers). This may be a consequence of the planar drivers’ very fast transients and rapid decay. Note weight is on the thinner side. Comparisons

The lower treble region is slightly less pronounced and detailed compared to the upper midrange area, but shows in general a sufficient level of extension. Instruments such like a snare drums, bass guitars and pianos are shown with a pretty good sense of presence, while electro and acoustic guitars are nicely bright without to sound harsh or unnatural. Upper-treble notes may still be heard shimmering, using copper cable hepls to mitigate this problem.

Synergy

Timeless have a V-Shape sound signature, as it houses a planar magnetic IEM, the response you get from these is fast, resolved and detailed. They have great treble extension and great resolving power and at the same time being warm and natural sounding. Because of its fairly demanding power requirements, the P1 is less accessible than the Timeless. The Timeless will run fine from practically any source while the P1 needs something quite powerful to perform optimally. Conclusion LETSHUOER also dabbles in cables and sources, such as the M5 and DT02, respectively. Technical Specifications
