About this deal

There are a few features that are quite similar in both studio headphones, but the ATH-M50x has an impedance of 38 ohms compared to 250 ohms of the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 250. COMFORT: 10/10. The ear-pads are magic in my opinion. I can easily wear the headphones for hours without noticing them.

Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO - 250 OHM LE DT 770 Pro 250 ohm

In conclusion, I love this headphone for everything. Mixing/mastering [closed design isolates well, won't hear street noises & children playing, I can always focus on my mix/master]; monitoring instruments, sound design, critical listening, watching movies, and playing games. Also great for enjoying ASMR, or voice/video-calls, just make sure you have an good headphone preamp to drive the 250ohm to get enough gain/volume. The Beyerdynamic Pro 250 ohm has an impressive 5Hz-35kHz frequency response with 250-ohm impedance. This allows you to hear more clearly to perform your best during your listening session. I use the RME Babyface Pro Fs, more than enough gain. But on my samsung phone max volume is about 70%-80% of what I would prefer as ideal. It's okay, not bad, but I'd recommend an headphone preamp if you want to drive the 250ohm version just from phone. In general, our DT 770 PRO, DT 700 PRO X and DT 990 PRO, DT 900 PRO X studio headphones are suitable for streamers and can be used for gaming accordingly. The DT 770 80 Pro headphones deliver the same accurate sound as the DT 770 Pro 250 while providing a very comfortable fit.Beyerdynamic is a German own company that produces headphones, microphones, wireless audio, and other audio systems.

Therefore, the Audio-Technica M50x is great for bass-heavy music such as dance music. If you also do a lot of DJ gigging and produce bass-heavy music, the Audio-Technica M50x might be a better headphone for you. Headphone fits comfortably on your head, does not cause sweating thanks to soft velvet pillows and does not wring your ears. I researched the product a lot to make the right decision and decided to buy it. I'm extremely happy now.

SOUND: Overall very clear sound with wide stereo image. I find them especially good for rough mixes because of the wide stereo image. Bass is clear and tight, no mud and mush in the low end, which is exceptional at this price level. Mids are well defined and clear. Highs are very nice, but kind of soft, so you will want to take that into consideration while mixing. Most other headphones and monitors will sound brighter and crispier. I personally prefer the tamed highs on DT770, since they allow me to listen for longer, without as much ear fatigue. This is totally a personal preference though. Just so there is no confusion: you can hear all the highs properly (at least in my hearing range, which is up to 17.5 kHz). The foam pads/cushions are still good, good isolation even after all this time. Isolation for vocal booth/livestreaming/podcast is also great on these. I think about 80% of youtube/twitch streamers use the DT-770. It's very popular. The corresponding models of both product families PRO and Edition are hardly distinguishable in terms of sound, as long as they have the same impedance (e.g. DT 880 Edition / 250 Ohm and DT 880 PRO / 250 Ohm sound the same). Although it is a V-shape sounding headphone, it is quite aggressive in presenting the details. Everything sounded quite the way it should, not neutral, but still very good.

A studio legend that remains a sound choice for most pro audio tasks

I've been looking for a set of studio cans for a while, and have always heard amazing things about the 770s, 880s, and 990s. Initially I was having a hard time figuring out which one of those would be best for me. I wanted a pair of headphones that I could simultaneously record with (meaning, with minimal spill), and that I could mix and master with. Additionally, with a robust spring steel headband and a soft head pad, the Beyerdynamic Pro studio headphones are quite comfortable to wear for hours. Cons Of The Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 250 First things first, this is not a set of “muddy” headphones, or whatever words people like to use when describing sound they don’t like. You have to power it correctly. If you know that your computer or phone can handle it, the DT 770 PRO can handle pretty much anything you throw at it, but you need to know that they have a very strong emphasis in the highest notes which can get a little grating after a while. This simply means that the emphasis in anything that goes through them tends to favor the highest notes over all else. Lows, mids, and highs
