Tobacco is a commonly used note in the sweeter and more intense colognes. Many people initially think that they won’t like the note of tobacco because of its reputation. However, tobacco in fragrances is the sweet, unlit kind. The note itself doesn’t give off an ash-like scent, but rather a sweet and comforting scent. Notes: The notes of Serge Lutens Chergui are amber, hay, sandalwood, rose, iris, incense, honey, musk, and tobacco leaves. The iconic scent, launched in 2005 (and still going strong!), was inspired by the hot winds of dry Sahara desert, swirling around the dusty trails of nature.

And Aramis definitely delivered with this amazing cologne. Made by Nathalie Feisthauer and Xavier Renard, this cologne was released in 1994 and is still amazing to this day. As any natural material, tobacco absolute contains many terpenoids: linalool, linalool oxide, limonene, geranyl acetone, farnesyl acetone and many others The rosey note of damascenone is built up by phenilacetic acid and its esters. Generally speaking, esters are present in all their diversity in the tobacco scent. Dried fruits is another odor that seems to turn out usually linked to the smell of sweet almond and hazelnut notes; As the fragrance starts to dry down, we make our way into the sweeter part of this cologne.
