About this deal

Next week the Warhammer Twitch channel will host The US Open 2021 Finale, which is taking place in Texas on the 4th and 5th of December. This even brings the series to an exhilarating finale, and you’ll be able to watch the action live, with commentary. For just a morsel of Gotrek action from the World-that-Was, Orcslayer by Nathan Long provides just that. After 20 years of exploring strange new lands, Gotrek and Felix return to the Old World, and an ancient path leads the pair to a dwarf prince who wants to reclaim his kingdom from hordes of Greenskins.

Battleforce a good starting point for Death Guard? Is the new Battleforce a good starting point for Death Guard?

On Warhammer+ this week, Interrogator season one gets a Final Cut which compiles everything into one feature-length show. The Battle Report team dive into the Ravening Ruin for a Warcry: Sundered Fate clash, while Loremasters investigates the many regiments of the Astra Millitarum. Including a whole carnival of weird and wonderful technological enhancements, this immensely customisable box can be built in so many different ways that it would be almost impossible to list them all. Including some trusty Skitarii infantry led by a Tech-Priest Manipulus, there are four units with two build options each – Sicarians, Serberys cavalry, Ptreraxii jump infantry, and a choice of either an Ironstrider Ballistarius or a Sydonian Dragoon. The possibilities are endless. All six of these battleforces are coming this December, so stay tuned to Warhammer Community for more details. Do you like Intercessors? Good, then this box is for you. 25 of the 29 models in this battleforce are some flavor of Intercessor, whether your preference be assault, chunky, or vanilla. Rounding out the box are three Bladeguard Veterans, the least interesting Primaris Captain, and a Storm Speeder for folks who are curious about how long a T6 flyer with no invulnerable save will survive. The box is okay. Not great, not terrible. Existing Space Marine players likely already have more than enough Intercessors, but it’s a perfectly legitimate Patrol for the Astartes curious. At least for me it would have been more appealing had the box gone all-in on being a big boy heavy force, perhaps with Eradicators, more Heavy Intercessors, and the original boltstorm gauntlet Gravis Captain. As it stands I recommend looking instead at the various Combat Patrol boxes, which are close to the same value and contain much more interesting units. Final Verdict: Skip ItFor the remainder of his abilities, he shares the L ord of the Death Guard aura with most of the other lords, boosting CORE units in melee. This ability will push him to close with your opponent! The Host of the Destroyer Hive has him handing our mortal wounds to nearby enemy units, again encouraging you to close the distance. Finally, his weapon loadout, master-crafter manreaper and blight grenades, make him an effective fighter against both hard and soft targets. Field the might of the Emperor’s chosen champions and overwhelm your opponent with sheer force. This box contains a Storm Speeder and 29 Primaris Space Marines, with a Captain, Bladeguard Veterans, and a ton of Intercessors – including regular, Heavy, and Assault varieties! Death Guard Battleforce: Plaguefester Warband If you like eccentric mechanical limbs, gosh does the Adeptus Mechanicus have a treat for you with not one or two, but 15 weird and wonderful modes of ambulation or flight! There’s also a unit of Skitarii and a powerful Tech-priest to lead this gaggle of whirring, clunking, zapping warriors.

Warhammer 40,000 Battleforces Incoming

A favourite treat of the Adepta Sororitas, when they aren’t praying, purging, training, or praying.

Add extra support to your Escher gang with the Shivver and Apprentice Clan Chymist , a pair of gang-specific resin Hangers-on. The Shivver can see into the future and predict great glory for your gang members. Chymists, on the other hand, reduce the cost of Chem-Alchemy Elixirs and may even turn deceased Matriarchs and Gang Queens into Death Maidens . Necromunda: Gorshiv Hammerfist Three classic Warhammer novels are released as MP3 audiobooks next week. In Gods of Mars , Archmagos Kotov’s great voyage is over, and his fleet marvels at the wonders that they have found – but reality itself is threatened by nefarious elements who plan to misuse these impossible technologies. This is the final part of Graham McNeill’s Forge of Mars series.

Warhammer 40,000 Battleforces – Praise the Emperor This

Orks know what they like, and they like fighting. Anything that makes them faster, shootier, or choppier is fair game, and the Killdakka Warband is made up of all sorts of Boyz armed with whatever they can find to krump their foes with. Like the T Sons, the Death Guard have their Primarch with them! Which is great for new players but might be a negative for anyone who already started getting models. If you’re after a nigh-unstoppable force that advances inexorably into battle, and against which even the fiercest assault will break, the Plaguefester Warband is the set for you. In addition to a solid force of infantry in the form of Plague Marines and Deathshroud Terminators, you’ll get the supporting firepower of a Plagueburst Crawler and a trio of deadly Myphitic Blight-haulers. Overwhelm your opponent with the explosive might of the Space Marines. This is a Battleforce that hits hard and fast thanks to a Storm Speeder and 29 Primaris Space Marines, including some fairly chunky Gravis-armoured battle brothers. The main event next week is Battleforces, massive boxes containing a wealth of units for a faction. They’re the ideal place to start a new army for the new year , or to expand an existing force. There are 10 boxes (count ‘em) split between Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar. First up, everyone’s favourite grim future gets six boxes. The fierce eyes of a Sister Dogmata command this force, which is composed of five Celestian Sacresants, 10 Battle Sisters, an Immolator armed transport, and a mighty Exorcist tank. This strange looking mutant is the end goal of many a Chaos Lord, a Daemon Prince. While he shares most of the standard abilities, he loses out on a point of Invulnerable save. He makes up for that with avastly improved stat line and cost. If what you’re looking for is a, relatively, fast moving assault HQ, then the Daemon Prince is your man…. er …. thing.

You can find rules for using Escher Cutters in The Aranthian Succession – Cinderak Burning . Escher Tactics Cards and Ash Wastes Dice Killdakka, what a wonderful word to say out loud… Ork speech is poetry when you think about it. This box includes 20 Boyz, plus a Deffkilla Wartrike, your choice of Orky aeroplane, and a Big Mek. That’s lots of kill, and indeed dakka. Anyone who had nuns in big metal jumpsuits on their Christmas bingo card is going to be rubbing their hands with glee at the Sanctorum Guard battleforce, which contains 23 saintly miniatures. Morven Vahl spearheads a cohort of six Paragon Warsuits, while a complement of Celestian Sacresants and a Battle Sister squad give you more zealots than you can shake a brazier at. Somehow, it’s happened again – Christmas is nearly here. It’s time for the greatest gift possible – Yuletide cheer and festive spirit. Or even better, massive Battleforce boxes full of Warhammer 40,000 goodies. Dominate the ash wastes with these new skimmer mounts for Escher gangs. This kit includes four fast-flying machines which Leaders, Champions, and Prospects can ride. There are head and hair options for the riders, along with a choice of twin-linked heavy stubbers, grenade launchers, or plasma guns.Magnus the Red is the 41st Millenium’s premiere big scarlet-skinned chap, at least until his very angry brother turns up. Joining him are 23 of his sons – 20 dusty Rubric Marines and three Exalted Sorcerers living their best arcane life. Battleforce: Death Guard – Council of The Death Lord As a new HQ this great to finally see a separate release. One support piece can add many different play options to a list! Forge World is returning to Necromunda with some new and highly detailed resin kits, starting with Athera, Blade of the Matriarch . Escher gangs can petition her for help in slicing up enemy gangers with her master-crafted chainaxe. Athera is accompanied into battle by her grumpy Caryatid, Stix, who has the prescience to help them both avoid harm. Necromunda: Escher Shivver and Apprentice Clan Chymist Five speedy Pteraxii, five stealthy Ruststalkers, and three Serberys Raiders make up the core of this battleforce, supported by the Ironstrider Ballistarii’s powerful cognis lascannons. Behind them marches a unit of 10 Skitarii Rangers and their Tech-priest Manipulus commander, ready to examine whatever it is that the Talon has recovered. Supplies from Mars are slightly delayed for those of you in Canada and the US, where the Omnissiah’s Talon box will drop early next year. Adepta Sororitas Battleforce: Purgatos Mission
