About this deal

When you need the screen to be extended, all you need to do is connect the monitor to your laptop, pull it towards yourself, and get going. Moreover, the display quality is quite decent, and the lightweight form factor means that it doesn’t add much heft to your laptop bag. Sounds exciting, no? Connector for probe with IN/GND/MOD/3V3 pins. NOTE: IN pin is 30V-tolerant in revision 1.04 and later, but only 3.3V-tolerant in revision 1.03 boards and earlier. Both Duex® 868 and standard Duex® can also be supplied in a lighter 6/5/6 configuration, however IAE would always recommend using heavier 8/6/8 panels in a sporting environment. Further underscoring the use in an office or sales work environment, the DUEX screen series provides the ability to flip the screen to face a person in front of you, which could be quite useful in a meeting or presentation.

The 60Hz refresh rate is only good enough for everyday work use, and the response times are poor – you can see the cursor blurring if you whizz it around the display. While that’s OK for browsing the web and working in office apps, it means that this display can’t handle any after-hours gaming. The duex.estop pins are routed through the I2C expander on the DueX. The exp.e[x]stop pins on the Duet expansion header become the CS pins on the DueX temp daughterboard connector. Heater channels 3-7 are available as 5V active-high signals on the PWM1 - PWM5 connectors respectively. On the DueX2 versions before 0.8a, only heater channels 3-5 are available on PWM1 - PWM3. Caution: the heater output terminals will also be driven by the PWM signal or servo pulses. The choice to exclude an HDMI port is fine because the DUEX Max may then use a single cable for both power and data. Mobile Pixels does consider that you may be limited to USB-A 3.0 plugs on your notebook, which makes the DUEX Max truly plug and play. While the display itself doesn't push the boundaries, the inclusion of the G-Sensor is a nice, useful touch. On top of that, being able to use it in portrait mode could also be useful in stationary desktop environments. Being a portable screen, you may use it with mobile devices capable of piping out video, like the Nintendo Switch. However, in that case, you will also have to find a separate power source for the second port. I've had this thing for about 2 years now and have actively used it for 1, so it's doing well for the number of drops its had. It's never fallen more than 6", but even still the corner of a screen hitting a hard surface can easily break it.Port (non MDIX). Connect to an Ethernet switch, hub or MDIX enabled laptop port. If connecting to a non MDIX enabled port use a crossover cable. Orange LED on Ethernet port indicates Ethernet enabled, green LED indicates network activity.

Up to 7 additional stepper drivers, of which up to 5 can be TMC2660, as offered by optional DueX5 expansion board If you have a slightly bigger laptop, the Trio Max sliding laptop monitor might prove to be the best option out there. This one is 14-inch and, like its counterpart above, mounts on the laptop lid. The primary advantage that it brings to the table is that you can attach an additional monitor, thereby upping the display count to 3. Cool, right?DUEX Max features a larger 14.1'' full-HD display that easily slides out to either side of your laptop. You’ll enjoy the same 1080p resolution but with an 85% screen-to-body ratio so everything you see is crisp and clear. If we talk numbers, the Duex Pro displays FHD resolution on a 12.5-inch, and the quality seems apt with text appearing sharp and clear. However, you might find it a tad different compared to the color scheme on your laptop. on-board I/O connectors for endstop and filament monitors (STP pins are 8V-tolerant on revision 1.04 and later), 7 more on expansion header

The highlight of Mobile Pixels’ Duex Pro portable monitor is its lightweight nature and its versatility. Not only can it work seamlessly with both Windows and macOS systems, this one can be attached to either side of your laptop’s screen. For instance, if your present work scenario makes you more comfortable with the monitor on your left, you can do so. For the record, this sliding monitor weighs just 1.5 pounds and won’t bulk up your laptop bag.Selects between using internal 5V (supplied by connected Duet 2 WiFi/Ethernet) or external 5V (supplied to EXT 5V header).
