What with his golden halo, Guilliman is just too obvious a target tobenefit from the Leader ability which would allow him to hide inside a unit. However, the ‘Ultramarines Bodyguard’ ability means he benefits from the Lone Operative ability while within 3″ of a Space Marine infantry unit, meaning enemies can’t target him until they’re within 12″.

Few units in the Space Marine roster are as big and powerful as a Land Raider, but the Primarch of the Ultramarines certainly fits in that category. Roboute Guilliman is as tough as a tank and twice as deadly, even before we factor in his superhuman spreadsheet skills. Led a a mixed strike force, from his own and several other Chapters, against the Eldar Corsairs raiding the Mining World of Volyn in 721. M41. This is where all of the fun is to be had. The Firestorm’s stratagems are absolutely wild and provide a lot of opportunity to make some great plays on the tabletop while still leaning into the idea of a hyper-mobile short-range assault force. Also of note is that 5 of the 6 stratagems here are Battle Tactics, so you can get a lot of flexibility by bringing a Captain or two. Really the only problem here will be balancing your CP usage. Unlike their battle-brothers who operate in single-armour formations, this strike force combines a Heavy Intercessor in Gravis armour, a Phobos-clad Eliminator, and Tacticus-armoured Intercessors of the ranged and assault variety – alongside the first ever Captain to grace this edition of Kill Team.

Space Marine Heroes is a blind box product, each series has a collection of models. You can buy individual boxes and will randomly get one of the several marines in each set. it’s a surprise you see. You are never 100% what you are getting. These are complete, self-contained armies you can use in the variant Combat Patrol game mode, which is a great way to get started with the game as it has very slightly simplified rules.

Clotticus is more of a banner lord, perfect for an icon bearer in your Death Guard Plague Marine squads. As time went on, the Space Marine regiments became Legions as the Emperor recruited young men from amongst the newly conquered tribes of Old Earth and the hundreds of Astartes in service to the Imperium swiftly became tens of thousands. With the severe allocations looming, it appears that each store can only get 3 boxes of the new Space Marine Heroes, meaning if you’re in the US you’ll want to get them while you can. Sadly, as of right now, there is no painting set announced for sale, and in turn, no Plaguecaster model, which leads us to believe that it might be a Japanese exclusive. While we haven’t seen Clotticus in physical model form just yet, he has been spotted in Hobby Japan’s August 2019 issue. He’s going to be the standard-bearer of the bunch and also come with a helmeted/helmetless option.
