La Shield Sunscreen Gel SPF 40PA+++is a sunscreen am enjoying right now in the winters for my oily and acne prone skin. The oil free and non comedogenic formula is good for oily, acne prone skin. Although using a moisturizer underneath would be little heavy for oily skinned beauties. The sunscreen doesn’t sweat at all in winters at least which is a huge plus for me. I don’t know how it will behave in summers but am sure to not use any moisturizer beneath while using it, irrespective of the season. The fragrance of La Shield Sunscreen Gel is faintly sweet and herbal. I do not smell anything chemical out of it. The sunscreen has a silicon-y feel maybe because it’s a physical sunscreen and it is supposed to coat the skin to protect it from the sun. The texture is otherwise very smooth to work with. It spreads easily. Initially, there is some white cast, but it vanishes away if I massage is nice. It leaves skin totally matte that I can put on makeup over it. My Experience With La Shield FISICO Sunscreen Gel The sunscreen provides broad-spectrum protection for up to 4 hours (my calculation), so the sunscreen kind of saves you from re-application headache after 2 hours. Reapplying twice a day works well given that I do not go out in the sun. If you have field engagement, you must reapply it after every 4 hours or if the sunscreen gets rubbed or wiped off due to sweat. La Shield FISICO Gel Sunscreen is apt for all type of skin but is specially formulated for oily & acne prone. It is non-comedogenic and contains Zinc, Zinc Oxide, Titanium Oxide. The sunscreen offers SPF 50 & PA+++ i.e. broad spectrum protection. It feels lightweight, sweat free & oil free. It is also water resistant, does not break out skin and affordable as compared to other broad spectrum sunscreens. I have used the sunscreen regularly for 4 weeks and am fully satisfied with the performance of the La Shield Sunscreen Gel. The sunscreen does not make my face sweaty or give me any acne. Methylene Bis-Benzotriazolyl Tetramethylbutylphenol, aka Tinosorb M, the good buddy of our current molecule Tinosorb SAnyway, it doesn't matter if it reflects or absorbs, Titanium Dioxide is a pretty awesome sunscreen agent for two main reasons: it gives a nice broad spectrum coverage and it's highly stable. Its protection is very good between 290 - 350 nm (UVB and UVA II range), and less goodat 350-400 nm (UVA I) range. Regular sized Titanium Dioxide also has a great safetyprofile, it's non-irritating and is pretty much free from any health concerns (like estrogenic effect worries with some chemical filters). Octinoxate (Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate): A UVB filter that helps protect the skin from the harmful effects of UVB rays, which are primarily responsible for causing sunburn.
