I decided to put together a monster coloring book for them a few days ago and figured I would share it with you so you could print one for your child as well.

Because we like to keep our monsters cute and cuddly you won’t find any scary monsters to color in this post! When the child has colored the monster, it should be reinforced with cardboard and cut out, with an extra half-inch of paper left at the bottom. The next sheet is all about taking time to separate out and honor each feeling. With the My Feeling Jar worksheet you can clearly identify each feeling experienced and how much of each feeling. You can go deeper with young people and identify triggers, how they felt it in their bodies, warning signs of these feelings, and choices that might be helpful vs unhelpful to honor what is going on for them over the week.

With this innovative craft, your child can create a “friendly” monster and use it for a funny greeting card. Alternatively, they are also a fun and exciting way to round off the final lesson.
