About this deal

I infact know a very sensitive individual who cannot tolerate regular cod liver oil but can tolerate Fermented. We think, due to fact that the regular liquid CLO is going off about a week after opening the bottle whereas the fermented one this doesn’t happen. AND/OR it could also be that the fermented CLO is the only brand containing the natural vit A and D whereas the others have synthetic replacements. She can’t seem to take the capsuled CLO either due to what the capsules are made off…but she is super sensitive though! Most people will be fine with capsule CLO.

The diets of healthy, nonindustrialized peoples contain at least four times the minerals and water-soluble vitamins, and TEN times the fat-soluble vitamins found in animal fats (vitamin A, vitamin D and Activator X, now thought to be vitamin K2) as the average American diet. Most canola oil is GMO & industrially ruined, but there are good canola oils out there & they are a very good source of omega-3. But you only need very small amounts & even less on high saturated fat where the EFAs are highly conserved. Besides, omega-3 must be converted to DHA & EPA to be used in cells. Better to get the DHA & EPA directly in Green Pasture brand Blue Ice Royal Cod liver oil with high vitamin butter oil – the best. (The partly synthetic Swanson brand Double Strength (sw1641) cod liver oil is acceptable but only in conjunction with high saturated fat diet) & with good butter. Humans need saturated fats because we are warm blooded. Our bodies do not function at room temperature, but at a tropical temperature. Saturated fats provide the appropriate stiffness and structure to our cell membranes and tissues. When we consume a lot of liquid unsaturated oils, our cell membranes do not have structural integrity to function properly, they become too “floppy,” and when we consume a lot of trans fat, which is not as soft as saturated fats at body temperature, our cell membranes become too “stiff.”Sally Fallon Morell is the founding president of the Weston A. BTW, just for info, I have tried all kinds of vit/min supplements over the last 30 years. Time-release supplements do NOT work. The vits/mins need to be mixed with the food and liquids in the stomach before the ‘chyme’ passes into the duodenum, the first part of the small intestine, when the digestive enzymes get to work on it. Vits/mins released in the large intestines 6-8 hours later is useless. Truth: The annual all-cause death rate of vegetarian men is slightly more than that of non-vegetarian men (0.93% vs 0.89%); the annual all-cause death rate of vegetarian women is significantly more than that of non-vegetarian women (0.86% vs 0.54%) (Wise Traditions 2000 1:4:16-17). Avoid canned, sprayed, waxed and irradiated fruits and vegetables. Avoid genetically modified foods (found in most soy, canola and corn products). Update 2019: Due to the massive amount of research on the devastating effects of eating animals and oils/fats that have been extracted from the original plant source, I no longer recommend this book. We followed her recommendations and ate like this for 11 years and it didn't improve my kids' teeth or our health one bit. I followed everything as perfectly as possible, even the recommended supplements. My kids never drank soda or juice and have never eaten at McDonald's or other fast-food restaurants and their teeth are still terrible. I still think that if people raise their own animals and grow their own food they will dodge many diseases but my family is now eating 100% whole food plant-based. No animals, dairy, eggs, oil, added salt or refined sugars. This was an easy transition for us because we already ate almost exclusively home-cooked meals and no refined sugar. We tossed the oils, dairy, and meat. We have seen significant improvements in our health. My husband lost 30 lbs. I lost 20 lbs. My kids stopped wetting the bed at night. Now please dont get me wrong as I have used FCLO for many many years and do value it highly. However I believe my questions are valid given the traditional nature of the food.

I’m a fan of fermented cod liver oil. I originally bought this for my kids. They don’t always eat healthy foods. They still eat junk foods and candy. It’s so hard to avoid. Many events serve this kind of foods, birthday, halloween, valentine, christmas, and so on. When we go out of town or to the park, the choice of foods are limited as well, mostly pizza , burger or hotdog.
