Retrieved December 20, 2022. The romance between Nozue and Togawa was so realistic! I loved the slow-burn of it. We really got a lot of cute scenes of them bonding. Nozue shared his fears, and Togawa tried to help him overcome them. They went on a lot of sweet non-dates, and genuinely enjoyed themselves. It was so lovely! After taking a photo, Nozue hopes it will not be too pixelated given that it is an outdated device. After mentioning how he took a photo of a hot guy, Togawa asks if Nozue thinks he is hot. Where the train is arriving in a short while, Togawa says he and Nozue should do what girls do, namely go and eat pancakes for lunch, straight away. At a pancake restaurant, Nozue feels out of place, and Togawa asks whether he has a special someone in his life, before clarifying it is girl talk. With it what Nozue said, that he wanted to be a girl, Togawa raises the question again.

The romance progresses slowly, but the plot never feels slow -- the actual events of the story are well paced and fall into line with the heightening tension. As such, he continues to decline promotions at his job and romantic advances from other women. In an attempt to inspire him to move forward, Nozue's 29-year-old subordinate, Togawa, begins taking him to restaurants frequented by women, giving him new first-time experiences at his age. As the two spend more time together on what Togawa has called their "anti-aging experiment", Nozue becomes closer to Togawa while wondering why he is insistent on making him happy. Nozue grows fond of him, but he becomes unsure due to their gender, difference in age, and social standing. One day, Togawa confesses to Nozue that he has loved him ever since he inspired him to have a positive outlook towards life during his job interview. After reflecting, Nozue comes to accept his feelings for Togawa and the two become a couple.

They seemed so exceptional and natural. Watching their interactions and conversations was fun. I adored the way Togawa seduced Nozue and made the most of the anti-aging procedure. This drama was very satisfying all around. Every single second of it was enjoyable for me. It doesn't happen all the time, but sometimes I feel like I want more! I'm hoping that Japan will continue to make such unusual BLs like these. The relationship between Nozue and Togawa was far from perfect, but the tensions and doubts were absolutely real. Nozue’s reservations about his feelings for Togawa because he’s ten years older than him and his boss were handled so well! He has a lot of anxieties about his age and change, and it was just perfectly portrayed! I loved that at the end of it all they do talk about it. They may not immediately lay all their cards on the table, but they do eventually talk things out. But, the fact that a romance aspect is added onto this beautiful life lesson that is presented throughout the series, makes the show all the more worthwhile. Togawa has liked Nozue for so long and seeing their relationship finally start to blossom made my heart flutter ten times over. Those two are so freakin cute together and they understand and complete one another and it’s nice to know that they have each other to experience all that life has to offer together moving forward.

Where Nozue states he is already in his forties and past the age for romance, Togawa speaks how he does not think Nozue finds it annoying, so much as frightening. Mentioning the idea of Nozue falling in love, being promoted, to getting entrusted with new work, then taking on a heavy responsibility, and even eating pancakes, Togawa feels it is all too daunting for him. Detailing how he is too consumed with work before turning forty, so then Nozue realized he had nothing, Togawa raises how he cannot figure out what he needs, or wants to do. Continuing that Nozue opening up gives him anxiety, Togawa feels he finds it scary that he is nearing the end of his thirties without having changed a bit.
