What I really loved about this book were the friendships and how everything that happened felt so real. I mean 9 years is a long time and we all know that there can happen so much! Yet, those three people still stayed strong. In one way or another they were always there for each other and helped each other through difficult times. No matter what happened to them and no matter how far they lived from each other, their friendships never faltered. Yes, there were some serious bumps along the road but that’s just the way life is and in the end they always found each other again.
Laurie is pretty sure love at first sight doesn't exist. After all, life isn't a scene from the movies, is it? But then, through a misted-up bus window one freezing day, she sees a man she knows instantly is the one. Their eyes meet, there's a moment of pure magic... and then her bus drives away. Low's writing style is as amazing as usual. She tells the story from the point of view of four different characters, each on a special mission on this last Friday before Christmas.This is pitched as a love story, and it is a love story, but it doesn’t talk only about romantic love. Lila: is a blonde beautiful bombshell focused on her media image and attaining the man she has been with off and on for the past seven years. She seems to have daddy issues that carry over into other parts of her life. Of the four people narrating this story she is the one most difficult to feel anything positive for. Did you think that Sarah’s response to finding out about bus boy’s identity was justified? Should she have stayed at the wedding despite her feelings? Did you feel she unjustly attributed too much blame on Laurie? Why or why not? Kate and Izzy set off for a much-needed break to a holiday park in Cornwall, where Kate has two weeks to find her new boyfriend and help the owners of the holiday park to resurrect their failing business. I definitely expect this book to become a film sometime in the future. As I read, I was constantly casting the characters with movie stars, which is not my normal modus operandi. If Sam Claflin and Emilia Clark are looking for a screen reunion after Me Before You, this is it. Who did you picture playing the roles? Isla Fisher for Sarah? Okay, I’ll stop. Minerva Dobbs doesn’t believe in love at first sight and fairytale endings and neither does Calvin Morrisey: the guy who asks her on a date for a bet. It highlights just how much of our lives are influenced either by coincidence, karma or self infliction. It covers so many relationships, twists and turns, all outcomes based on certain decisions. Secrets are uncovered and people betrayed.
Film festivals present a platform where the films can be seen by producers and distributors, who are interested in considering applications, including those of newcomers. There are also film festivals dedicated to the debut movie, which can be used to distribute the proposed film. It makes sense to make a trailer for the movie in the form of a one and a half minute presentation to reveal the main idea. Actors/Actresses Fate or coincidence continues to throw Donna and Will into each other’s paths over the next few years but misunderstandings and missed opportunities keep them from meeting. That is, until their lives finally collide in New Zealand.
