About this deal

Using your pen, you can continue the shading process layer by layer. It is best to create light strokes and go over the pencil shading. As you reach the tip of the nose, make a gentle curve, and darken the area where the nose would begin to a natural point. You will see that the shading process will develop into a shape that will result in a realistic nose image. If your shading is very light or you’re afraid of any outlines showing through, use my shadow lining method. Step 5: at the bottom of those guide grid, in the middle (if you used step 14), add a circle for the ball of the nose. Remember, practice makes perfect. Keep practicing and experimenting with different angles and styles to develop your drawing skills. The human face is fascinating. There is no perfect combination of features or proportions since beauty lies in the different textures, shapes, and volumes that make us unique.

Now we’re going to add the three circles that represent the wings of the nose and the tip. As in the previous step, you can draw the non-visible parts of the circles with dashed lines.

We are going to sketch the basic shapes for the front of our nose. It is s simple angled rectangle. Draw it according to the size you want to give your nose. We can break down the nose into basic planes to know where the light and shadow go. Even if the light moves, we can use the same planes to shade the nose at any angle and light setting. Use the source image as guidance. This is especially helpful if it is your first attempt at drawing a nose. In any facial drawing, the key is which angle the light falls and how the shadow produces depth. If you follow this basic rule, you should be able to create a realistic drawing of a nose. To complete your artwork, you should touch up the shadow at the bottom of the nose. Although it’s not a side view, keep in mind from which side the light is hitting your nose and add the highlights and shades accordingly. The shades will help give the shape of the nose.

Nose Step by Step - Artsydee How to Draw a Nose Step by Step - Artsydee

Draw your outlines as light as possible using an HB pencil. I’m drawing them quite dark so you can see everything clearly. Step 2: Add circles to the base Step 11: add the nose wings – along the left circle guide and the left vertical line, draw a curved line. This tutorial is a little different than the usual. Each step has 3 options for you to draw from: They are all noses in the 3/4 view, but the first one is level to the eye, the second one is a view from above looking down and the last is from below looking up. That’s why before trying to draw anything, we need to learn first about the structure behind it, especially if we’re talking about facial features. What you’ll learn in this tutorial With the same technique from the previous step, we are going to shade the nose bridge area following our guidelines, but this time it won’t be as dark as the base. For this tutorial, the light is coming from above. The darkest area is the bad of the nose. Erase your guidelines so they are barely visible. Then, we’re going to use our 4B pencil to mark the base of our nose by outlining the base of the circles of our structure. With our precision and kneadable eraser, we’re going to take some graphite away from the base of the nose and the areas we over-shaded on the top bridge.

Every part of the face creates a perfect combination with the others, and trying to use the same tutorial for different people it’s not going to work. Connect that line to the top. It’s boring to follow the 3D shape exactly, so add some bumps and such to make the nose look more interesting. Step 5: Outline the nostril wing With our precision eraser and kneadable eraser, let’s take away some graphite from the base of the nose, wing, and the top of the nostril. If you shaded the nose bridge, make sure to make that area the lightest since that’s where the light hits the most.

Since we’re drawing the nose side view, the shape we’re going to sketch with our 2H pencil is a triangle. A: To draw a nose shape, begin by drawing a vertical line down the center of your paper. Then, draw a diamond shape around the center line to create the basic planes of the nose. Draw dashed lines on the left side to indicate the bridge of the nose, and a smaller circle on the right side to represent the nostril. From there, you can add in the details and shading to create a more defined nose shape. Since a ¾ angle from a front view is not too different from the side view, we’re going to use a different angle so it can be differentiated. With our 2H pencil, let’s sketch the rectangle that represents the nose bridge.
